The strategic deployment in HoI didn't work quite well. Nor did the fact that troops pretty much marched through the whole map.

So I suggest another movement mode:
Railroad movement. Quite simple, you choose the unit, select railroad movement, then select where to. The computer then calculates how much "railroad capacity" the movement takes and decreases that from the overall railroad capacity. Then you just wait until the unit gets there(and then you of course get back the railroad capacity). This would eliminate the fact that in strategic deployment you can deploy anywhere as long as you ahve ladn connection; now you actually would have to move there.

Isn't that what Infrastructure does? Abstract idea.

And Strategic Redeployment is far more important in 1.06 I am learning.

It would be nice if there was a cap level (Moddable by techs and by modders later of course, no hardcoded stuff here.) to prevent whole armies just being transported to another theater. A few divisions here and there are fine with me. But if you want to move that many you need to do it the old fashioned way, build transports and ship them there, or have them walk (or drive/ride if appropriate).
