Is there a way to see where all of your divisions are moving to besides this just the little green arrow? For example, when I am trying to move 40 divisions from one side of Germany to the other it is difficult to put them in the correct spots without constantly having to reclick to remember which spots I need to move to. It would be nice if there was something I could click that would show where everyone is moving to... Like the blue line when clicking on the division itself.

Also, is there a way to have all units disappear from the map so I can see just the province itself?

Thanks

You can left click and drag a large box and select all of your 40 divisions, the green and blue lines of where they are all going will all be shown. Is this what you are wanting?

Similarly you could select all the units under and Army or Army Group and all their movements will also show.

I agree that would be a Godsend to move large groups, but unfortunately no such thing exists for either. The best way I've found to do it is to select all units and then send them all at the same time while the game is paused. So, if I had forty units and I wanted one unit in a province, two in two provinces, and then 5 in 7 provinces what I would do is select all units, and send all of them to the first province where I want the one unit to go. Then I'd unselect that unit by clicking on the 'X' that comes up beside its name. I would then send all units to the next province, and unselect the units that are going to stay there and repeat until all units are done.

It's a little hard to explain, but it's the way I found is the easiest to move all units at once. This way as you unselect units you can also see which units you still haven't sent. The only downside is if you don't know where you want them to go ahead of time you might get confused and send two groups of units to the same province, but that's not too big of a problem.

Whatever solution you end up using, best of luck to you. I know it can be a real chore sometimes.

Yeah these methods will work better then what I was doing at least. Also, what battlemoose said, I guess I didn't realize by selecting all units you see all of the arrows. This all helps, but still would be nice if I could keep those trace arrows up while I am selecting each individual unit. There has to be a better way for some of this army organization stuff. I enjoy the detail and complexity, but after a major war I am sometimes turned off and have to quit for a while as I dread reorganizing and moving all my divisions for the next target.

So there is no way to "blank" out the units on the map so I can see only the map itself?

I feel exactly the same way at the end of a campaign. I do so dread it.

As far as I know, there's no way to get rid of counters on the map. The most you can do is enlarge or shrink them based on how far you zoom in or out.

Its a chore, theres no two ways about it. I think everyone has their own ways of trying to reduce the load in trying to organize what they are doing.

I would recommended always building a good and decent Order of Battle. If you have 5 Armies or so for Barborossa, then select all the units in your First Army and send that army to the sector of the front that you want that army to be responsible for. Then select each corps and send that and then the divisions. And do this for each army. If you try and automate the process for yourself and develop an easily repeatable methodology, it takes a lot of the burden off of your brain. You could even rename your corps to something that indicate which Army they are attached to.

You can break up air units and reform them as other air corps, but you can't build a hierarchy of air units (i.e., you can't attach one air unit beneath another).

As BattleMoose has pointed out it is much easier to move units if you have a good organization (OOB) to start with. My method of moving units is to select a target staging area (province) close to the new front, move them as one, and once they arrive continue their movement to their final destination. Since they are closer to the desired front it is easier to keep track of where I'm sending them.
