I have recently purchased a new system, with Vista 64 and a Phenom chip. System and OS run great, but there is always alot to learn.

One of the things I have found is that XP was dumbing-down alot of the peripheral software. I have a Microsoft Comfort Optical 3000 mouse, which is programmable and has a built-in macro editor for creating custom routines for the buttons. It worked fine when I used it on my old XP system, but not anymore.

Unfortunately, with fully-functional Vista, the mouse software conflicts with both HoI2 and EU3, making the games kind of annoying to play. Its amazing how attached I've become to the wheel on the mouse - I use it automatically. When the game doesn't respond to the mouse correctly, I get very frustrated with the game. Mouse works fine everywhere else.

PLEASE make sure that HoI3 is capatible with the peripheral software! I am sooo looking forward to this game, but I can't go out and buy custom keyboard/mouse/... just for the game.
