Hi all,

CKII runs well enough on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A665, Win7 x64, 4 GB RAM, with Intel HD graphics), but there's a bit of an issue in that there's a slight lag (about 1/2 second or so) between moving the mouse cursor and the game recognizing the mouse has moved (by showing tooltips, highlighting buttons, etc.)...is this a performance issue or something else?

Running it fullscreen, 1366x768, trees off, vanilla 1.05g (no mods, no DLC).

I'm not aware anyone else has mentioned this as an issue before. Do you have any mouse enhancements active, like mouse trails or custom mouse software? You might try disabling anything like that.

No, nothing fancy like that.

I'm using a wireless optical mouse, but that shouldn't pose a problem--I only have this delay in CKII, and like I mentioned, the actual cursor (the gauntlet-hand-finger-pointer thing) moves in time, but the game sort of lags behind it, as in it takes about a half-second to pop up the tooltips or light up a button I can press.

I have similar problem.

While scrolling with mouse, gameplay screen always freezes. So I have to press alt+tab and rejoin(not re-execution) the game.
If I use keyboard scrolling, nothing like that happens.

To solve this problem, I reinstalled everything(even OS) include the game.
At first, it was pretty okay. But if I use alt+tab once...that freezing problem happens again, even though I restart the game.

Vanilla(since demo) with fully updated Windows 7(and non-steam user, bought from gamersgate).
And...oh I use wired mouse also.

Changed many graphic options even setting.txt to solve this problem myself, it was pointless. :(
I think this problem is related to alt+tab anyway.

And If I play the game...nothing happens and everything is okay.

But If I press alt+tab (first time) during the gameplay and rejoin the game, since then, If I use mouse scrolling, very soon screen freezes...but at that point, If I press alt+tab and rejoin game, I can play again, and so scroll again with the keyboard. (Instead of keyboard scrolling, If I use mouse scrolling again, very soon It freezes again...of course I can solve that problem by press alt+tab and rejoin the game again and again :confused:)

So actually It's not 'freeze' of whole computer...but It seems that some kind of alt+tab related graphic problem.

This might seem little weird.
But I tried many things and finally discovered that consistency.

cf. Beyond this problem, keyboard scrolling is very smooth but mouse scrolling is very laggy...
