I just decleared war on Nepal but found out i had absolutely no chance of winning against them if i attack them because of the topology. Are there any known tactics to beat 10k soldiers on a mountain with a level 2 fort with the exception of building 100k soldiers and attack them?

Don't engineer brigades have some sort of bonus (or at least less of a penalty) in those situations?

Keep fighting it and then retreat, since Nepal is uncivilized it takes forever for them to get the morale up after reinforcement.
Attack when the morale is low.

this is the best option, if you have room
station no troops in any of the bordering provinces, the ai is certain to try invade. once it does, send in some cavs to quickly occupy nepal, dont even bother fighting the nepalese army, since you can then annex straight up.

Best solution here by a long shot!

I don't have access to Nepal unless i can make a military access agreement with Tibet. How big does my relation need to be if i want to get a military access through Tibet? Let's look at another approach since i'm not sure i can raise cash for improving the relationship with Tibet.

Gas - what techs and what divisions do i need to get in order to get this gas attack bonus? I believe Nepal used gas against my troops.

As Morpheus506 mentioned, can anyone confirm or deny whether an engineer brigade helps removing the negative topology bonus?

Still interested in other tactics if anyone has got any other tactics. Thx so far.

Send you troops as expanditionary force to a somewhat strong neighbour of Nepal.
Then walk across their lands into Nepal

I never get anybody to grant me military access, not even my 200 relation ally.

Anyway, i have a couple of questions i hope you can help me with. They don't have anything to do with this topic, but i've just annexed Nepal the way you told me.

After annexing Nepal i found out they had too many POPs, 8 or 9 labours. But as i am uncivilized i can't upgrade the RGO, and i simply can't afford owning Nepal.

For this reason i have two questions:

1) Would it be easier annexing Nepal another day if i make them a satellite this time? I believe it doesn't help me, but i just want your confirmation on this subject.

2) I've studied the prestige, industry and military point gathering. It is said that one non-irregular division gives you one military point, but what about inventions? I have a total of 3 military points, but how can this be as i only have 2 cavalry divisions (with only around 1k soldiers in each division, but i don't think that makes a difference anyway).

If you are running a loss owning Nepal you should probably release it as a satelitte, or use the Nepalese population as soldiers.
Never satelitte it as a peace offer since that won't get you any prestige.
Also look if the pops in the RGO are very small one, if they are replace them with bigger pops.

Perhaps you have brigades?
Military rating is rounded up so when it says 3 you might only have 2.5.

1) Well, AFAIK you can't merge the POPs yourself. Secondly i'm not ready for wars right away, so i can't get the number of inhabitants down faster through wars than the regular growth.

2) I got my two cavalry division through an event. There is no brigade icon on the cavalry icon and they are called '1st cav. regular' and '2nd cav. regular', but i'm pretty sure it isn't a regular brigade.

And a new small question ;) :
3) How much do the divisions in the mobilization pool cost a year? I was thinking about increasing that one to the point where i have 10 military points to become an independent nation. And how is it when you finally mobilize - does your relation with other nations go down or is the BB increased or how is it? I believe i have heard something about some negative things about mobilizing.

All divisions you get via event are regular divisions, even if you don't have the capacity to make them. Uncivs can't have mobilization pools either, unless you modded the game.

Off course not, but say there are 7 pops in Nepal and 5 of those are big pops 50k and up. Then 2 of those are really small ones like 200. If you kick the small ones out of the RGO and add the big ones you'll produce more.

Then I got no idea how you get 3 military points, does your army only consist of those 2 divisions?

They don't cost a thing per year, but as Lord Warchaser said you can't have a mobilization pool as an unciv.
If you edit the save file so you'll get one, it'll consist of irregulars.

1) Well, there were around 10 POPs, and they were all considerable large and i had big negative daily figures, so i don't think i can solve it that way. Simply have to make myself an independent nation first of so i can get other province when i am enable to DoW other nations than my neighbours.

2) Only those two. They both came via an event and was then found in my mobilization pool (or maybe it was the ready-for-deployment pool).

3) The only mods i have installed is the 1.03c, VIP 0.4, 1919-1933 scenario improvement project (which i do not play) and then a homemade mod for regulating POP growth on the entire planet. Anyway, i haven't had any divisions in the mobilization pool (if we expect the divisions i got through the event to have been placed in the ready-for-deployment pool), but on the other hand when i mark the 'increase mobilization pool' or whatsoever it is called, it simply says that i need the 40 small arms and 40 canned food or whatever it is. Don't know if it should still say that when i am an unciv?

It was the ready for deployment pool.

It'll always say that for uncivs.
