I am not sure why some people seem to run numbers so much on the individual speed of brigades. A division will have a base speed of the slowest brigade in the division and after that the AVERAGE terrain modifier of all brigades in that unit comes into play.
For example at 1938 research levels a MARM + MTN + MTN has a base speed of 4.33 and a mountain moving speed modifier of - 6.6% which makes it's moving speed 4.33 x (100 - 6.6) 93.40% = 4.04
That the MARM brigade has a speed of 7 doesn't matter. It is not that its speed of 7 with a terrain modifier of -40% for mountains makes a difference, that would yield a brigade speed of 7 x (100 - 40) 60% = 4.20 but as you can see the division speed is 4.04
I have no idea why AC have a movement bonus of 10% for mountians, just like MTN, but that makes it a good addition for MTN in mountains. In fact a LARM-MTN-MTN-AC division has no movement speed modifier for mountains as the -30% modifier for LARM is negated by 3 brigades with +10%...
