One thing that just gets me is how powerful terrain is especially those trees. Trees in this game are Over power. Tree terrain should be destructive like buildings at least. So much more tactics can be considered with a small implementation.

1. Make tree clusters have hit points that can turn into rough/ difficult terrain when destroyed on the hex by ballistics.

2. Wouldn’t it be cool if flamers actually set trees on fire or even have entire forests catch fire and cause some atmospheric heat build up for mechs who refuse to get out? Lasers may do the same effect.

3. Navigating forest terrain that is thick should be considered. Tree density could slow a mech down considerably if they want to safely navigate it without tearing a path in its wake. Running through a forest could be foolish.

These type of details get me excited.

Setting forests on fire is a BIG thing on TT.
1) Heat damage
2) blocking LOS

Of course three hexes of trees blocked line of sight too...

Yes real forests would be great if it could be done.... :D

I was kind of surprised when I first discovered that walking your 50-tonne war machine through a grove of trees didn't knock any down. (But I enjoy how they bend and sway as a volley of missiles flies through the treetops)

+1 vote for destructible trees.

Burning forests would be so good to say the least.
Terrain deformation in general would add this game some neat tactical benefits...
I guess the engine as well the mechanics in BT are not made for such things...
But anyway +1

MN is also OP in the way that poor-cooling worlds are so common for our missions.
