In my latest England game the "War of the Roses" spawned with 26 pretender regiments and a 5 shock general. So, I merc'd up, rolled an acceptable general (2-2-2-0) and attacked. To spare you the details, here's the end result of my War of the Roses:
It was shameful, because while I usually try to fight 'clever' and use terrain and such, in the end I just took loans and threw men at the enemy like a maniac, while vastly underestimating the enemy in every. single. battle.
