Most Shameful moment in EU4

Getting PU over Castille as France and then declaring war in Russia, getting stack wiped, losing Scandinavia to rebels and then getting attacked by a coalition as a cherry on top.

I remember once getting 75% of my army trapped as the Ottomans after I declared war on Venice.
I first forgot to merge my navies, resulting in them getting destroyed individually, and then while I was panicking about that, I forgot to stop the army that I ordered to siege Corfu. My other army is in Anatolia. My thirs and smallest army is the only one in Europe mainland.
Cue sixty Venetian galleys blocking Corfu and the Bosphorus. Venice ended up sieging all of my European lands and I had to release Bulgaria + give two provinces to them.

Going to war against Austria and their allies as the Ottomans, peaced out by taking Viena and getting the Palatinate as a vassal. And only then i realized i got about 50% of my army stranded in the middle if the HRE with no way to get them out, and almost no manpower.

During my prep for war I accidently disbanded my stack of 30 heavies instead of the useless admiral...
Accepted a cta with 99% over-extension and my armies on the wrong continent. Proceeded to get bee-lined by 3 nations whilst my Allie sieged lvl8 forts fruitlessly instead of helping me. Blew 5k gold on mercs trying to hold the god-generals back then white-peaced out leaving Allie to die.
These were in the same game.

Aztec (like 2 years ago) - walked through doom mechanism, reformed, got myself into war against France, though long, hard and manpower destroying war, fend off multiple invasions, got them to negotiating table, became exited about how many colonies I can take away from them, white peaced by accident... Rage quit, never played in Americas again.

Declared war, forgot to set maintenance to max. Got stackwhiped. <-Multiple campaigns, you'd think I'd learn from pas mistakes.
I have so many of these. I am ultimately far too careless in a game where there are many things to keep track of, and it constantly bites me.
I will pick the most recent one. This was from just last night.
I declare war on a three-province minor whose only ally just got whipped by the regional power. My target is their middle province -- it has gold. The two surrounding provinces each have forts. I choose to not bring in my adjoining ally because I don't want them to sneak in an occupation -- I'm going to annex all three provinces.
The war starts. I put my troops on the first fort. I want this war to go quickly, so as soon as it falls I dash for their capital. I need to go around and hit their ally to take a claimed province they have, too, and I'm worried if I stay at war for long, the regional power will come at me.
The ally I didn't call into war declares a war of their own against the same target. They march straight for the gold province I didn't occupy. In my obliviousness, I don't move from the capital.
A year or so later, the enemy alliance is fully occupied. The only province I don't occupy myself? The gold province. And my ally isn't budging to declare peace (they can't take just that province because they can't core it without the one in between).
This is shameful enough. But my shame... it doesn't end there.
I bring up the console. I turn on debug mode. I find the gold province's ID. I enter the console command to shift occupation of the province to me. I fully annex the target country, save, and quit.
I failed, and then I cheated about it.

As a small opm western nation which escaped to the new world, I decided since I was like 6-8 techs ahead of the natives I could easily beat them. Instead what happened was they mustered 50k troops, crushed me, then annexed me. GG, annexed by primatives

I use this exact strategy as Byzantium (incl Albania for their god general) and it usually works well so it's nice to see the AI enjoying it as well!

bragging about my massive empires to my friends all the time, they buy the game and i proceed to keep getting rekt by the ai's #overconfidence and too greedy
Lots of them. But I'll pick one. As Portugal I planned to give England a colonial smackdown, back in the days when having 500 ships wasn't out of the ordinary. So I built my navy heavy on heavies, putting me slightly over the force limit. Detached 6 transports to cull and then disbanded my 500 ship navy instead.

When I was playing as France with an early PU on Austria and ended up losing a disastrous war that destroyed the PU. The derp was strong with that playthrough.
In recent memory... In my first game with Mare Nostrum I played as England and early in the game I rented a stack to someone who was fighting against France. This was the first time I had used Condottieri and so did not know how the mechanics worked. My units were in Normandy. Due to French forts along the border, they were stuck there and unable to link up with the rest of the forces. All they could do was patiently wait the impending stack wipe. Lesson learnt.

Declare war on Makassar with mission CB, they have a few worthless allies like Buton and Ternate.
Occupied a province without a fort, went on to besiege the fort.
Damn, my fleet is out of supply, by the time I notice at 13% monthly attrition and 40% health.
Park my fleet in the one occupied province... suddenly 3 of my enemies have merged their stacks and are marching to relieve the siege, outnumbering me 2 to 1 and the fort is on bad terrain.
I have nowhere to go, my army is getting crushed in battle, I pull out my fleet of the harbour to retreat onto the boats... but suddenly they turn up with no less than 6 heavies and a few dozen lights... to my 8 badly damaged heavies.
My army is unable to retreat, gets stackwiped. My fleet refuses to flee anywhere except the province I had occupied, and which flips back a few days later thanks to the fort. My fleet is utterly annihilated.
I have no sailors.
League wars start.
Makassar kicked my ass.

My most shameful moment was losing PUs over Aragon and Naples as Castile on monarch death. When I saw how much AE I'd take just to force one of them back into the fold, I ragequit.
I've done one or two accidental truce breaks as well, by failing to read the truce timers and wardec screen properly. Those are pretty painful, especially as a Republic.
It was hilarious to see DDRJake getting annexed over and over again, but given he was starting as Manipur on Very Hard, I wouldn't call it 'shameful'.

By ignoring them thinking they're hardly a threat...then realise two seized cities later that now your own army has reduced to a puddle due to attrition and they've simply seiged every single nonfort you own west of Istanbul, have united with the Byzantine army to be stronger than your army is now and are now working on taking down your forts together.
