Might see a player-created mod that introduces them at some point, but we've heard nothing from HBS or Paradox about whether or not the currently excluded Unseen will ever make it.

Unless the settlement had something about them (which I doubt), the Unseen will remain that way for HBS. If they try to include the Unseen (and the settlement doesn't say anything about them), HG can file against HBS as only the three Mechs that HG tried to sue HBS about were dropped with prejudice (meaning can't be sued against again for those Mechs only).

Thats not necessarily the case. We don't know how they settled, and HG's case against HBS was tenuous at best. They attempted to compare a Locust to a Marauder for crying out loud. It may simply be that HG/HBS agreed that HG's case was bullshit and wouldn't stand up to scrutiny. And from what I understand is that the with prejudice only applies to what was put against them, that being the locust as a marauder, Atlas as Archer etc etc.

So likely if they use ANY of the Unseen, including the ones specifcally mentioned they would be targeted. The difference will be if PGI/HG settlement gives PGI free rein on licensing their models or not. In which case HBS can license appropriately.

Of course I am a pessimist, so I am working from the theory that it will all go pear shaped, and we won't see the unseen until after 2021....

are we still waiting for the HG vs PGI case ?
Yes. Speculation is forbidden, but it's safe to say that any move to add a certain pair of mechs would be a grave risk while the case is live, because adding them in would be a material change and could allow HG to sue again under a different (and much more solid) claim.

After the case is officially over, it'll all depend on what the outcome is. We simply don't know yet whether it'll allow HBS to add them in (and as an aside, we've technically never been told that HBS ever intend to).

ITS OVER! Settlement with prejudice. Great news for us, PGI, and BATTLETECH!

Check bg.battletech.com for the facts and

LONG LIVE BATTLETECH!!!!!

As I noted in the other thread... ????

Is there some new news as of this morning, or is this a belated reference to the old news?

Wish people would post some sort of sourcing or context for these statements... I don't have forum-appropriate words for how frustrating the indistinct blend of implication, insinuation, and speculation has become.

HAVE DETAILS OF THE SETTLEMENT BEEN ANNOUNCED OR ARE PEOPLE JUST MAKING PRESUMPTIONS?

If details have been announced could someone PLEASE provide a link or a factual summary?

There is a copy of the filing for the judge to sign off on a setlment between pgi and the evil. It includes language dismissing the suit with prejudice in favor of both pgi and inmediares. No I don't have direct access to it but I bet google does :). I am not a lawyer and am speculating about the meaning of the words in the document but I think I got it right lol

Before my first post of this morning on this thread, I ran a web search, as is my SOP when people post vaguely on a such a topic.

Here's a link to the google doc that got posted in Facebook.

To me that only indicates that they came to a settlement that includes a hurdle to future legal action by either party -- I don't see ANY indication of what agreement they reached or what it means for the future of the "unseen".

You think there would be an official response
yeah I don't see anything.

Will someone link what they saw that made them pop champagne corks? bg.battletech.com doesn't have any news on it.

EDIT: Okay I see the google doc.

Champagne corks indeed! There is hope for the Phoenix Hawk after all
