What's your standard and what are you looking for? For Spain aside from the 2 crazy branches seems to be the most obvious pick.

Aside from the ridiculously long coastline to defend from the Japanese, all paths for Nationalist China are pretty good. Even just looking at the focus trees you can see how delicately Nationalist China had to navigate between the world powers while dealing with domestic corruption and cliques. Chiang Kai-shiak foresaw the communist problem and wanted to tackle issues from within early, but communist propaganda got the better of his closest followerers (they were slamming Chiang for killing his fellow countrymen over the Japanese only to immediately backstab them as soon as Japan surrendered).

The warlords are pretty bad though, especially Sinkiang seems to invariably replace Communist China because it is technically a communist warlord which enables the rule for them to occupy states and quickly take the decision to become PRC.

For Historical Accuracy....

Kodoha Faction Japan, though they should be the Fascist, not Nonaligned, as they were very much the more Fascistic faction compared to their more moderate rivals.

Empower King's party would also be somewhat accurate, Alt-History, atleast the start of it, however "dominions break with the crown" breaks the path when it comes to accuracy.

Fascist Latin Entente France, and French Commune are also relatively accurate. as is "buy time" Democratic France.

Netherlands Nonaligned path is also somewhat realistic, as the Queen was quite a glorious badass in her own right.

For most other Alt-History paths we'd need to start at 1930 for them to have any actual chance to happen.
And for Hungary every path outside of its historical path, are completely impossible, as for example with Restore Austria-Hungary focus, the moment Hungary would crown a Habsburg, the Little Entente would crush the Hungarians.

Similarly "no more appeasement" Britain would most likely result in Mosley raising in popularity due to his anti-war stance, and the fact that due to memory of the Great War, British had no taste for adventurism and foreign wars, and could well cause far more destabilization of the UK than it does now.

Isolationist USA, quite realistic, although not so interesting to play as USA, but interesting for a game as UK and setting USA to an isolationist path.

Trying to find realism in them is tough because they are all varying degrees of craziness. E.g. the King of England could never have become an autocrat the way he can in-game; he'd have been thrown off the throne by the political establishment long before he'd reach that kind of power. Similarly Churchill couldn't have become PM before Chamberlain was forced to resign over spectacular failures in both peace (appeasement) and war (Norway); the political climate facilitating it simply was not and would not have been there.

Certainly those examples are less crazy than Japan turning communist though.

If you consider the plans for the Oster conspiracy, I regard the German Kaiserreich Route as one of the best one. Perhaps it would have been better to go directly to Wilhelm III rather then Wilhelm II, but still, it is one of the most plausible ones.

Most realistic alt-history? I guess any of the democracy ones. Like America going full isolationist and staying out of the war. Or France buying time or going with the entente. Any of the ideological switch alt-history isn't very realistic imo.

The Kohoda Japan path isn't that unrealistic, though them having a focus to rejoin the London Naval Treaty is like having fascist Germany have a focus to "Renounce Eastern Claims."
