Your government type is "republic" rather than "merchant republic". That's not good!
I have had this same problem, I think; it seems to happen whenever a House goes extinct, and then suddenly I'm no government type at all, thus making every holding a "wrong" holding. Is that true here, too?

Edit: Just had Amalfi taken from Byzantines by independent Calabria; no extinct House, but my liege changed, and now there's nothing under the Republic tab [everything is blank, I mean], and I have wrong holding again. So I guess it's anytime something happens regarding stuff.
