Most Overrated Game of All Time

After seeing all the 10/10 reviews for this game I decided to give it a shot since it was on discount. All I can say is it should come with a warning about what you are buying - most people will not enjoy playing this tripe. Basically it is a roleplaying game made up of dialog boxes about your wife having an affair with some dude. Graphics are second rate, combat graphics are just a joke. God only knows what these people who reviewed this game were thinking. This is the gaming equivalent of "Trout Mask Replica".

That's my modus operandi. Check it out on Youtube to see if it's going to be worth my time and money. For me, CK2 and 3 are worth my time and money.

Well, i hate fist person shooter games, it wouldnt matter if it was the greatest game of the year. i still wouldnt like it cuz i dont like fps games. yes it is indeed a specific genre,but thats why you need to look into it yourself.

No matter how good a game looks on paper, you should always check it out on Youtube first. Different games strike people differently, and we, as individuals, have different wants and needs for our games.

and yet it has something between 2-5 million owners, and 55000 reviews on Steam.

Weird that you decided that not only were you not happy with the game you thought it was worth your effort to come to the forum for the game to say basically anyone playing it only likes RP with dialog boxes.

Not every game is for everyone. Just because other people liked it, doesn't mean you would. You made a major purchase of a game without looking at any videos for it? lol

It's not like it even required some massive investment in time to do the research. You could have just watched a twitch stream for 15 minutes and gotten a good idea. Come on.

On second thought, nothing good will come of this thread going forward. The OP has a right to his opinion, however crossed the line in stereotyping those that enjoy it. As such, I'm gonna go ahead an close it down.

As several have said, in this day and age, take a look at all the free info out there on a game before you purchase, to save yourself some heartache.
