So what would you say is your most hated nation and what is your most hated dynasty? Please let the hate flow, I really need it right now...

As for me it is of course...

THE ABBASIDS. I DESPISE THEM. ALL OF THEM. EVERY SINGLE DAMN ABBASID IN THE GAME AND THEIR DAMN EMPIRE WITH THEIR REVOKING TITLES AND THEIR OBSCENE LONGEVITY.

For my Irish Empire game? Clan Circinn, the ruling family of Pictland in 769. They tried to conquer my little kingdom in the Hebrides with some piece of paper that said I was legally part of Pictland, a mistake they never really recovered from.

The Umayyads are just a bunch of camel herders with funny hats.

As for dynasty, I'd choose Palemonaitis, they are really annoying if you play around Lithuania... and since I mostly play as kings of Pomerania or Livonia (HIP), I've grown to hate them... a lot.

No other dynasty does this to me. I just wish they would turn out like they really did more frequently. Then I wouldn't hate them.

Oh, it gets worse: I started in 1066, where the Karlings have a grand total of one male dynast left (And we all know the AI is too stupid to reliably form matrilineal marriages), and he starts as an OPM count. Out of vague curiosity, I check the Karling dynasty a century later, in 1171. Forty-someodd members, two duchies, three non-ducal counties, and I think the duke of Luxembourg is trying to form Lotharingia.

As for my most hated nation? Venice. My inner Byzantophile screams in hatred at the mere mention of Venice. They are always on my sh!tlist, just for existing. If it's not Venice, it's usually Seljuks/Rum.
Dynasty? Abbasids, hands down. They're the France of CKII in early start dates.

Byzantine Emperor. He may not expand in logical directions and hence usually isn't a threat, but he sits right in the middle, is extremely centralized (messes up your **** harder than most in defensive pact wars) and makes nearly all crusades to Jerusalem fail (long land route of attrition onto 35k Fatamid stacks.)

Also unlike Abbasids, HRE, or Seljuks the realm rarely if ever fractures.

Dynasty would definitely be Karlings. Those guys never get anything right.

Most hated nation is definitely Khazaria, they ruined one of my best games as a Polish Republic Empire by using subjugation while I wasn't the leader and it completely destroyed the Republic with no way of getting it back... never had wanted to uninstall this game except then. As for most hated dynasty, probably the Rashtrakutra because there are several identical Rashtrakutra dynasties and I can't tell if they're actually supposed to be related or not.

Edit: I don't really hate the Abbasids or before TOG, the Seljuks, since I always need that big Sunni enemy as the great other in my games. Can't be great without having struggled to overcome a great enemy...

Makes any tribal start in Eastern Europe an absolute pain in the ass..

Ummayad would be my least liked dynasty, they start off way too strong/stable.

I don't find the Abbasid dynasty themselves so bad, if only because it's more or less a coin flip whether they'll even still be a significant going concern 100 years into a game. The Arabian Empire title, on the other hand, is the devil himself, for its utter refusal to just be a good body and die. Seriously, assuming it existed at the beginning of the game, I have never seen it destroyed except when I have put significant effort into doing so.

The Seljuks are also a serious pain, though that's more or less personal - for some reason they just keep on being my primary annoyance. Even in my Finland game!

However, no vanilla dynasty can possibly match the hate I feel for Geheimnisnacht's very own House Von Goddamn Carstein. The mod devs have spared no effort in properly emulating their lore trait of screwing over absolutely everyone, themselves included, with pointless treachery and evil. Know the Vampire, Kill the Vampire.

I mostly start at 769, so it would be:

Karlings: Gavelkind making horrendous borders, and the dumb AI doesn't even wanna try to fix it.

Umayyads: Stomping Asturias, forming Hispania, and then steaming into France, always.

Abbasids: Either collapsing very early, or super stable stretching all the way from Morocco to India, for eternity.

Lombardy: Never flips to Italian, ever. It's not the biggest issue but always bugged me that the only Italians left in the world are in Venice.

Indians: Always sitting in their own world, rarely ever venturing out of the subcontinent. Even the Muslims in Persia nearby forget they exist. Come on, contribute to the Middle East please!

Khazars: Swallowing the other tribes, converting to Sunni, and then making fighting Jihads even harder with their horde troops. Oh and they're never Jewish.

Salians I hate. Those little dips***s ruling their Perfect German Empire of Happiness and Monoculturalism. Dutch goes extinct in 12th century, Bohemian in 13th century and Italian in 14th century. Even if the Salians lose their throne, the implacable, immovable, indestructible HRE remains, always perfectly happy and united, even when their Kaiser revokes all council rights and pisses on the princes by abolishing elective succession.

In 867, it's the Abbasids. Can't be defeated, always expanding.

I don't really hate any dynasty or realm. I dislike having to face large blobs, but that's because they're large blobs. As soon as I'm strong enough to fight them without too much trouble, I stop being annoyed by them.

In short, I don't hate dynasties, I hate threats.

Hated the Timurids until they got nerfed. I'd say I hate the Normandy dynasty the most, although it's because I'm bitter about the Norman invasion, not because of any in-game stuff.

Honestly... not a fan of the Abbasids, obviously, the Seljuks annoy me, but the Ummayads are bros (their history irl is awesome). Karlings suck until 1066 when they become bros. Not a fan of the Capetians, because I'm a Plantagenet fan boy and the house of Valois are dirty dirty usurpers. I quite like the house of Jimena in the old gods start, after that they're incredibly annoying. House Stenkil are dirty usurpers as well.

Bro-tier houses are the Estridsens, house of Normandie, Ynglings, Ottonians, Angevins (jerusalem and anjou branches), Lusignans, house of Brus and ofc Plantagenets.

Dynasty wise it's a toss up between the Karlings, Salians and Abbasids (for blobbing and being obnoxious) and those guys who are ruling in Crimea as vassals of the Byzzies in 1066, forgot the name, had a game where they just wouldn't go down when I was trying to create a free Bulgaria. Murders followed and the entire Byzantine empire went up in flames before the last one of those B******s ended up as a torture victim in my dungeons

As for the "countries" I go for with France, because I will never forgive France for being the BBB in EU3, even in a different game, and the HRE for being a monster unless i actively do something about it.
