Weirdest I've seen is USA, in a 1444 start, colonizing into an open spot in northwest Brazil. Created the colony of "New USA".

It was a few patches ago (Guyana was still a CN zone), but wouldn't you know it? I was smart enough to take a screenshot!

I accidentally created an AI Polish colonizer once. Muscovy was trashed to one province in Poland. They went broke. They became Polish. Polish rebels in Bohemia defected to Polish Muscovy. Poland was reborn ... with Muscovite ideas. They then proceeded to colonize Australia once they got a port.

In one of my recent runs I decided to give a Colonial Nation to each Latin subculture, so I had lombard USA, ligurian Canada, piemontese Alaska, romagnan California, tuscan Mexico, umbrian Colombia, napolitan Perù, sicilian La Plata, venetian Caribbean and Brazil, and last but not least, maltese Australia.
The last one was really hard, because Malta has no cores and cannot be released until the island is sieged by separatist rebels.

It was all my doing, so I suppose it doesn't qualify as "exotic" or "weird".

I have seen Brunei colonize most of Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia.

Also, one time as Sweden, I decided to colonize (just for fun.) When I saw I entered a union with Poland (who already had Lithuania in an union, and was allied with Austria, France and England.) I released my Canadian colony, and played as them, as that is possible even on ironman. Me, Canada ended up colonizing and Swedenizing most of Northern America, but there were a little part of Canada that Sweden colonized even in the union. Thus they created Swedish Canada. Norway, who was Sweden's vassal, also colonized a few provinces, but not enough to create a colonial nation. Poland integrated Norway and inherited Sweden, so Swedish Canada turned Polish (still named Swedish Canada), and Poland had three provinces in Canada directly. That was the weirdest New World ever. A Swedish Canada, a Polish Swedish Canada, and a Polish Canada.

I had a game a couple of patches back where one of the Maghrebi revolter states I'd never heard of - I think it was Sus - managed to both get a CN in La Plata and some provinces in near Kongo that the Europeans had overlooked.

Not only an exotic colonizer but an exotic way to become a colonizer!
Well, this was totally the product of me mucking around in the area. I was helping Bohemia pass HRE reforms and had allied Muscovy early on (as I was Scandinavia and wanted allies against Novgorod and PLC). We then hammered our way through Lithuania and Poland. Later I turned on Muscovy and eventually reduced them to a OPM; I got in a war with one of their allies later and somehow bankrupted them as a OPM. Following that I turned on Bohemia and was purposefully dragging out a series of HRE wars until they shattered to rebels and lost the emperor to me. Late game, reformed Poland got a Black Sea port and managed to get to Australia.

In my current Venice campaign, Portugal managed to colonize the entire Caribbean to form Caraibas. That's not the unusual part, though. Caraibas then managed to colonize a big chunk of the coast of South America, which proceeded to become "Caraibas Columbia" when Caraibas declared independance. It aparently broke free and became Columbia ... while Caraibas ultimately lost it's independance war.

Also in a previous campaign, The USA broke free from Norway and colonized West Africa, Madagascar, and a bit of the Spice Islands.

There was a time where i liked messing in the game-files and doing stuff like increasing AI agressiveness and changing the idea groups that Artificial Idiot countries took. That time has seen many abominations like Korean Australia or Kongolese Brazil... But the best one i have ever seen was New Uzbek, with horde techgroup.

Could it be made so LO forms kurland more frequently? I often see a blobbed lo or at the very least they hold on but in several campaigns now I've never seen them form.

Technically cheating, and doesn't really count at all, but in an extended timeline spectator game Byzantium inherited Spain and when the war of independence from the former Spanish colonies petered out into nothing, Byzantium briefly controlled most of Eastern mainland NA and the caribbean.

it would be great to have more "post-colonial" nation as well, to avoid "english mexica" "french mexica" and so on...

Does it use the previous code, or have you refined it somewhat? Because it was VERY simple compared what could be done, such as what Ninking did with his dynamic ideas.
