Ever since the latest 1.6 patch, I've been having trouble keeping store shelves in my city of 110k stocked, and big blue "low inventory" icons have popped up in most commercial blocks. If it weren't for the auto-bulldozer, I imagine that a good portion of my commercial districts would be lined with abandoned buildings.
In terms of highways and road layouts, I haven't changed anything substantial since the 1.6 patch dropped - in fact, the commercial districts that are hardest-hit are the ones that have been established the longest and haven't gone though any extensive road/avenue/highway overhauls in decades.
I tried to resolve the problem by building more ports for goods to be imported - I built a new seaport and a train cargo hub, which is in addition to the existing train/ship combo hub and another train cargo hub. All four cargo ports are receiving goods, and are spread out in three different locations on the map. Though they aren't near the commercial districts, they all have dedicated connections to the highways that feed them.
I'll be sure to get some screenshots up later today of the areas hardest-hit by the wave of low inventory. If anyone has thoughts on this issue, I'm willing to listen!
Many Thanks,
SilentMage
