Hello everyone, today the devs unveiled new map changes in Iberia and Maghreb region. As a Moroccan I'm happy to see more changes in the map, however I was also quite confused because the map wasn't accurate. Some provinces were misplaced so I decided to share some modifications that I hope the devs would take into consideration.
I took a map of current moroccan provincial division and modified it to have some provinces already depicted in EU4 and added some:

* State of North Morocco
- 1) Ceuta (capital: Ceuta, culture: Moroccan)
I cut it in half from the south (that should be the Tétouan province) and added a little bit more land to the east (Qsar Sghir).
- 2) Tangier (capital: Tangier, culture: Moroccan)
- 3) Tétouan (capital: Tétouan, culture: Moroccan)
It's funny that the province of Tétouan doesn't include the city of Tétouan (which should be in the southern part of Ceuta). I corrected it and expanded it a little bit to include Chefchaouen. Tétouan and Chefchaouen received a lot of Morisco refugees after the fall of Granada. An event that would increase development and flip the culture to Andalusian after the fall of Granada would be nice.
- 4) Rif (capital: Badis or Temsamane, culture: Berber)
- 5) Melilla (capital: Melilla, culture: Berber)

* State of Fez
- 7) Guercif (capital: Guercif, culture: Berber)
Just to reduce the size of Fez.
- 8) Fez (capital: Fez, culture: Moroccan)
- 9) Meknes (capital: Meknes, culture: Moroccan)
- 12) Tadla (capital: Tadla, culture: Moroccan)
- 25) Taza (capital: Taza, culture: Moroccan)
Another added province to reduce the size of Fez.

* State of Gharb
- 11) Bouregreg (capital: Salé, culture: Moroccan)
The position of this province is wrong in the map, it needs to be south of Gharb and west of Tadla. Also it would've been better to give the fort in Tangier to Salé.
- 17) Chaouia (capital: Anfa, culture: Moroccan)
- 18) Dukkala (capital: Azemmour, culture: Moroccan)
- 26) Gharb (capital: Mamoura, culture: Moroccan) Farmlands in the preferred terrain in my opinion as it's the most fertile region of the country.

* State of Marrakech
- 15) Azilal (capital: Demnat, culture: Berber)
- 16) Marrakech (capital: Marrakech, culture: Moroccan)
- 19) Abda (capital: Safi, culture: Moroccan)
- 20) Haha (capital: Mogador, culture: Berber)

* State of Tafilalt
- 10) Figuig (capital: Figuig, culture: Berber)
- 13) Tafilalt (capital: Sijilmassa, culture: Moroccan)
...

* State of Southern Morocco
- 14) Draa (capital: Tinghir, culture: Moroccan)
- 21) Agadir (capital: Agadir, culture: Berber)
- 22) Ifni (capital: Sidi Ifni, culture: Berber)
- 23) Sus (capital: Taroudant or Tafraout, culture: Berber)
- 24) Ouarzazate (capital: Ouarzazate, culture: Berber)

* State of Algiers
- 6) Oujda (capital: Oujda, culture: Berber)
I think Oujda should have a port since the city of Oujda isn't too far from the sea
...

I also noticed that the devs called both wastelands "High Atlas". The mountain range north of Demnat should be called "Middle Atlas". The one south of it is both "High Atlas" and "Anti-Atlas" but since the first one is bigger it'd better take that name.

@neondt really needs to see this. Great suggestion! I've personally also been fact-checking the map. Morocco and the rest of the Barbary Coast is quite hard for me to pull off, so great work!

Thanks man. I appreciate that someone else cares about the Maghreb. It seems like everyone is preoccupied with Iberia. I can't blame them since that's the focus point of the next expansion, but the Maghreb didn't get the appreciation it deserved.

Do you think are there any missing provinces or tags in Maghreb region?
For Tunisia I would do something like the map I uploaded.
1. Tunis
2. Bizerte
3. Béja, should be a grain province
4. Kef
5. Kairaouan
6. Nabeul or Hammamet
7. Sousse
8. Monastir
9. Djerba
10. Sfax
11. Gabes, I mean you can't have the gulf of Gabes without Gabes
12. Gafsa
13. Tataouine

North Algeria pre-1.28 seems fine so I took a look into Libya. I found this map of Libyan Hajj routes. It means that there were settlements in those areas that would make provinces in the game. The state at that time was called "Oulad M'hammed"

* Modern "Wadi Al Hayaa" province
1) Oubari
2) Germa

* Modern "Murzuk" province
3) Murzuk
4) Qatrun
5) Zwila

* Modern "Sabha" province
6) Sabha

* Modern "Jufra" province
7) Zella
8) Hun
9) Waddan
10) Soknah

There's 11 (Ghat) which I found out that the Oulad M'hammed didn't manage to take it due to resistance of local Touaregs.
I also made a map without accurate borders to show how they could be connected.
