Tradition 1: -10% building costs
Tradition 2: National tax modifier +5%
1. The successors of Rome:
The mighty Eastern Roman Empire has fall, but it’s not dead. Our king, direct descendant of the great Constantine XI, will preserve the roman legacy. +1 prestige each year
2. Walls of Mystras: The Byzantines designed our capital thinking in the defense of it against the catholics and the turks. Now that we are alone, we shall preserve our capital improving that fortress system. +15% fortress defensiveness
3. Stable policies: We are a little state in a precarious position, with powerful neighbours. Attacking them isn’t a good idea, so we could spend our effort in making the country peaceful. Stability cost modifier: -10%
4. The ruins of Sparta: Near Mystras, our capital, lie the ruins of the great city of Sparta. Using this as state propaganda can make our armies more powerful and disciplined. Army morale: +10% and Discipline: +2.5%
5. Greek schools of diplomacy: For long time the byzantine diplomats convinced the west to attack the turks. Now we could continue the tradition opening a great school of diplomats incorporating our Greek traditions. Diplomats +1
6. Byzantine centralization: For long time the Byzantines maintained a very centralized empire that boosted their economy and administrative efficiency. There’s no reason to renounce to that. Monthly autonomy reduction: -0.05
7. Greek warfare: When the Slavs and avars arrived to the Peloponnesus in the seventh century, many Greeks moved to the mountains searching protection. Now we could use this warriors to attack enemies’ armies and leave our territory untouched. Attrition for enemies: +2
Morean Ambitions: -20% core creation cost
Probably needs some rebalance though
