At the moment adding a line for a second asteroid belt won't do anything. Only one belt will be displayed, no matter what you do.

Would it be possible to make it so that the game can display a higher number of asteroid belts in a scripted system?

My wish would be star systems that are not all the same size. A white dwarf should have a tiny system, but a red giant should have something 3-5x the diameter of the current setup. That would give you star systems with very deep gravity wells which take longer to get in/out of.

I would definitely like to see things like this in the galaxy creation. Binary star systems would be another example along this line. Just things to make systems more interesting to look at and explore.

Binary stars are very common in our galaxy, and what's to say they aren't common in other galaxies. I've tried the following code and it works but the second star still has the visuals of its parent star.

Code:
sol_neighbor_t1 = {
    name = "Alpha Centauri"
    class = sc_g

    planet = {
        name = "Alpha Centauri A"
        class = star
        orbit_distance = 0
        orbit_angle = 1
        size = 32
        has_ring = no
    }

    planet = {
        name = "Alpha Centauri B"
        class = "pc_k_star"
        orbit_distance = 80
        orbit_angle = -115
        size = 27
        has_ring = no
            moon = {       ###Not confirmed
                name = "Alpha Centauri Bb"
                class = "pc_molten"
                size = 16
                orbit_distance = 20
                orbit_angle = 130
                has_ring = no
            }
        }

    planet = {
        name = "Proxima Centauri"
        class = "pc_m_star"
        orbit_distance = 150
        orbit_angle = 50
        size = 20
        has_ring = no
    }

    neighbor_system = {
        distance = { min = 10 max = @distance }
        initializer = "sol_neighbor_t2_second_colony"
    }
}

The visuals of Alpha Centauri B and Proxima Centauri stay a yellow dwarf.

Sweet! I would love to see this become part of a galaxy generation mod. At the moment, I'm drowning in several of my own modding efforts, so I can't really look into that now.

My wish would be star systems that are not all the same size. A white dwarf should have a tiny system, but a red giant should have something 3-5x the diameter of the current setup. That would give you star systems with very deep gravity wells which take longer to get in/out of.

Yes! That would add an interesting element to different modes of FTL travel as well as some tactical considerations for system defense.
