The climate of the northern coast is actually milder than the inner regions during winter (because that's how climate works), not to mention the different mountain chains.
And the same could be said about the inner, mountainous provinces in Italy (specially the Apenines) and Greece (Kastoria, for instance).
My suggestions: extend the "Mild winters" to the inner provinces of these regions in Southern Europe, specially the mountainous places.
