Hello Tinto and the EU4 community!

Playing (or striving to become) the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire is one of the most, if not the most, engaging experiences one can have in EU4. Assuming you're not gaming the system, but purely trying to maintain your germano-christian mega blob from day one, you will almost always have something to do. From the dawn of the reformation you most certainly are have more objectives than time.
I personaly find the whole HRE experiece both fun and interesting, and regardless of what goals you set for yourself, or which nation you start as, you will find yourself rewarded once you pass the later reforms (disregarding the fact that decentralization is mostly very memey right now).

So to my suggestion! As much as EU4 is a game of war, and as entertaining it is to step on upstart wannabe conquerors within past time germany, I would like to propose more diplomatic interactions for the emperor (nono, Ming is but a pretender).
For pretty much anything but an enforcement of religion past a certain war, your one and only tool is force and warfare. Sure, that is the main function of this lovely game, but it does get a bit repetitive.

SO! For some ideas for interaction/change/variability (as you're usually, as the emperor, finding yourself with more money and diplomatic might than you know what to do with):

- The option to improve reasons for relenting to the emperors demands through favors or gold.
- The ability as the emperor to demand the release of subjects, of course at a steep cost that is not beating the shit out of the transgressor.
- Improving the willingness to bow to demands of unlawful territories through economic or diplomatic favors (maybe if I finance your *insert valuable improvement here* you can release the OPM I've TAKEN from you three times already, because, hey, it didn't really work out the other times?).
- Imperial warnings, there is a grand, terribly underused, system for telling upstarts to sit down, but it requires borders. but I am the emperor, isn't all of germany within my borders?
- Extreme spitballing here, but maybe a collective pot of ducets for the HRE to be applied by the emperor to influence muppets, both towards and against goals. I can't deny I wouldn't mind certain tags growing.
- And on that last though, maybe some way to exchange an unwanted conquest for the freedom to GO ELSEWHERE unbothered. Aka, give me this OPM back and I won't bother you if you touch something else.

All of the above applies to religion too, but seeing as how that right now is the main interaction as the emperor (you don't really care about the number of princes) it might be better left alone for now. I do however think it would be interesting to be able to convert isolated reformists before the league war without beating them over the head.

Thanks for reading!

Most of these are already in the game. E.g. economic motivation -- Send Gift, Subsidies, Great Power Influence. The only new interaction I think sounds good would be the issuing of an "imperial warning" to a prince not to attack another prince, similar to the current Warning but applicable only to imperial member states.

Also -- by the end of the era the Empire had mostly devolved into a German polity with Bohemia as an uncomfortable possession of the Hapsburgs, but at the start it was still very much a multicultural entity. The game is even set up to faciliate Bohemian (Czech) takeover of the Imperial throne.

From Großes Interregnum Emperor of HRE hadnt real infleunces.

Holy Roman Emperor have to first rebuild of authority... or abandon ideas of "holy and roman" and transform in nationalistic monster "German Empire"

No more options without reforms HRE
