(I did really try to search the forums for an answer, but this question seems kinda niche, couldn't find exactly what I was looking for).
So, I had this situation, playing as Leon. I conquered parts of Galicia, probably about half of it, by pressing a claim for my mother. She became my vassal. Bla bla bla, killed my brother, bla bla bla, waged some more wars, bla bla bla, killed my niece (you know, like you do....) and my enemy, Castille, was down to just 2 counties they still had from old Galicia. One of my nieces was the ruler. Then all of a sudden I see a pop-up that my niece was imprisoned, apparenly by my brother, then a day later half my realm disappears and my niece is released. Not one bit of information about what happened. My first clue was an empty council position, that used to be taken up by my mother. WHO APPARENTLY NOW RULES GALICIA. Because my brother waged war in her name, pressing her claims, and she went from being my vassal to being a ruler of a country me and Castille basically broke down in pieces.
Now this is all very interesting and who doesn't love a really good whodunit, but it's more of a wtfhappened. The problem is I had to go through 20 different menus and county title history tabs to find out what happened and just piecing it together like it was an episode of LOST: first my mom flees my court, then half my kingdom is gone, then my niece gets kindapped but she's free the next day, then this practically whole new kingdom pops up on the map. And then I still have no idea what happened. I can only guess my brother pressed a claim in her name?
It sure would have been nice to know that war was about to start or had started or was happening. But the game doesn't seem to give you any of that information. Not when something important is happening inside your realm, next to your realm or involving important people connected to your realm. Am I missing something very obvious here or is there some kind of black box scenario within the game, where you really have no way of knowing what's going on around you? I mean, I'm all for surprises, but losing half my realm without so much as a single pop-up notifying me of that? Not cool, dude.
