I go on Wikipedia and will spend hours just reading through medieval history. Something I've noticed is that the various Kingdoms had lots of prestigious titles to give out. All kinds of honorary titles I mean. The game has a small amount of them but most are missing. Every Kingdom, at least every major Kingdom, should have their unique titles added.

I feel that the existing ones should get flavour before more are added; the Muslim ones have a bit, and the Shieldmaiden title has a bit, but I believe that that is it at the moment. Bland, essentially free, opinion boosts don't really add a lot to the game.

As for adding historical kingdom-specific titles, I don't know if that's a good idea, as there's a good chance that some kingdoms will get far more than others (which could be a bit unbalanced, as they'll have an easier time boosting opinion than a kingdom that gets nothing new) because we know more about them and there's a chance that some titles don't make sense if history goes off the rails (e.g. a honorary "Prince of Wales" title that can be given to the King of England's hereditary heir (or the hereditary heir of the Emperor of Britannia, I suppose) assumes that England controls Wales and that Wales doesn't have a holder). However, it is hard to say that for sure without knowing which historical titles are to be considered for addition.

On top of that, honorary titles should mean something. Right now, they're just an opinion booster.

Adding to that, I've mentioned this before, but I'd love it if the Court Jester title could actually be useful...at the moment it's just a random "Annoy your vassal" title that's kinda useless now that there's a proper antagonise button for characters now. It really should be something like the Court Dwarf title, with it restricted to unlanded people and giving a +5/10 modifier considering the person's getting to live with the monarch and regularly make jokes at the expense of the nobles. They could even be connected to an event that fires if your monarch is depressed; perhaps the Jester can cheer them up?

Hmm, sorry to double post, but I just thought of something else that could work with this. Muslim rulers automatically get access to 'Court Musician' and 'Court Poet' - the latter of which Dharmic rulers get too - which seem like the sort of titles you'd expect other realms to have if LOADS of extra titles were being implemented. Perhaps some of these could be coded to only show up if a ruler has certain skills? For instance, if you've got the Erudite or Poet trait, you gain access to the Court Poet minor title?

You can have Erudite and Learning 2 or have Learning 35 without Erudite. Are not the latter more eligible for "Court Poet" minor title in that case? :)

While there perhaps should be a small Learning requirement (say 8+), having some flavour titles that requires certain traits wouldn't be a terrible idea, particularly when you otherwise gain even more from raising stats extremely high (and Learning is one of the easier stats to stack, due to Hermetics/etc.).

I ofc generally agree to this.

But.. in this case.. I´d rather say there should be a minimereq for 8+ Learnnig to even gain the trait Erudite...
