There are some ministers and social regimes that change man power gain (positively or negatively). They influence both your provinces and the occupied ones. However, how can you make a responsible decision if there is no breakdown available that would display how much MP you are getting from you homeland and from other countries?

Therefore, could more detailed info about MP be included in the next patch?

Save your game then change ministers and observe the change in the calculation.

Do it with HOI-2 if you can so you do not have to wait 3 months for the new minister to take office.

Just do a little testing to determine the amount of change based on the modiier you switch out/in and then you can pretty well carry over your findings to a real game.

As I understand it though you get absolutely no foreign manpower if you are at war. You must be at complete peace to receive foreign manpower.

You mean oversea manpower.

Correct. Japan pretty well gets screwed on foreign manpower due to it being an island it can never get any while at war.

Thanks for correcting me as I almost always play Japan and I got confused.

As long as there is a land connection to your capital traced from the foreign province you can get the foreign manpower bonus even if your at war.
