Two BIG requests (see what I did there?):

1.) Give us new galaxy types!

2.) Give us bigger galaxies.... The current "huge" isn't nearly big enough - I want even bigger ones!

More galaxy types would be great. But bigger? Not until they further optimize the game so that some computers can play without crushing lag.

Honestly, consumption of computer power by large galaxies aside, I don't really think we need bigger than 1000 stars... Maybe 1500.

But additional shapes would DEFINITELY be a nice thing to get.

Maybe Stellaris could have something like the Random New World system from EU IV that generates interacting or irregular galaxies. Those make the most interesting shapes in my opinion. :)

Or the existing galaxies could be made more interesting. A nebula could slow down ships by a great deal or passing meteorite storms could make travelling between certain systems impossible. A slowly expanding supernova could threaten nearby star systems if technologies like e.g. planetary shields aren't researched in time.

Changes like these could make existing galaxies feel more unique while the performance is still optimised.

bro, for the love of the Maker, please dont say stuff like "only 16gigs of RAM"... my last 4 rigs dont have that much RAM combined, and believe me, i am not the only one in such a situation :)

Well if you just want bigger galaxies there are plenty mods for that already. I bet there are some for shapes too.
I only have performance issues when really large fleets are meeting in one system and I am watching, but that is irrelevant. The majority of players doesn't have high end or expensive machines. So implementing much bigger galaxies would only cater to a very small number of gamers and therefore I can't imagine that it is a high priority for the devs.

Perhaps the ability to alter the average distance between stars. Fewer planets within wh/warp distance and fewer interconnecting systems vs web like interconnectivity and more systems within jump/warp distance.
