More avatars?

Will we get more avatars? When final release comes and preorders are over? Specifically this one?

This was the one I was looking forward to get but now I'm sitting in this lonely corner of my room without my craved mushroom avatar. Life is just sad.

Nova edition should get it as a avatar option too, since the species portrait comes with that preorder option as well.

Eventually it would be nice if we had extra colour/palette swap options. Would add a little bit extra variety to the avatars.

Sign out, then back in to your PDX Account. They should appear and you will get your icon

You go to your profile page and click on your avatar icon to bring up a popup window that will let you select from the available avatar icons. Mine has a group called "Stellaris: Nova Edition (Pre-Ordered)". If you preordered the game, then you should be seeing them as options. If you just preordered recently, it may take a few hours until the options show up.

Just to add. Your Steam account needs to be synced with Paradox account as well to receive Avatars.
