There are clear powers in this galaxy and with a lot of new civics, we have the ability to raise undead, create powerful effects that help our empire, even perform sacrifices! I love it, but I am honestly growing a bit tired of seeing so many "Priests" and with spiritual empires being so focused on Divines or Gods, when they can just as easily be Sorcerers or Magicians.

What I am suggesting are civics that allow a society to instead lean more towards arcane ideals, rather than religious ones. Robots shouldn't be seen by Sorcerers as empty shells, nor should it bother them. Ones who manipulate life forces and harness magic shouldn't be complaining when another society trades in physical bodies for mechanical ones, it doesn't make much sense! This would allow a few more spiritual diplomacy options, but it will also add to a roleplaying value for those like me who enjoy making societies with magical undertones, which the Necroids pack REALLY encourages! Maybe even add something similar to the Death Priest sacrifices in the form of Rituals that circles of magicians or sorcerers can perform at the behest of the rulers. Smaller, more controlled variants of The Shroud events, perhaps? Less reward, but less risk.

I know Stellaris has a big lean towards science and spirituality as a duality, but I think there is definitely a niche missing for arcana and would love to see it filled! EVEN if it's just done cosmetically so that I can change the titles of my priests and the like to something more magically oriented.
