hi, i always wondered why it only gives you prestige for owning jerusalem? wouldn't meant it for the guys who hold the town a lot more than that after fighting it back? so that something like 15%-20% morale for being catholic and owning a catholic jerusalem would be plausible?

it would be a great goal for a catholic country against a usually quite strong enemy (ottomans)

maybe restricted only for theocracies (and papal state) ;)

would be great for balance reasons since reformed and protestant get huge military improvements for basically nothing, and since jerusalem could only be hold by 1 country it could only be called by 1 country

Prestige already gives a morale boost, and one should always be suspicious of double-impact modifiers lest they surprise you!

sure, i know that prestige gives you morale - you could also argue that by fighting through to get jerusalem you would gain army tradition which would gave you already a 2nd morale boost~~ :p ... the whole game is full off those "double-impact modifiers" and its about adjusting not to make them op. but in my opinion it wouldnt be op it would in contrast be a thing/modifier which can be lost
- for example the ni from france, otto, prussa cant be lost no matter what you do.

by winning a war against the country which holds jerusalem all you need to do would be to take or release jerusalem and the buff would be gone
