Having played Moo and Moo2, I still enjoyed Moo3, I did like the concepts they were trying, with the habitability zones for each race and multiple biomes per planet ,the over funding for additional effort and such.
Seemed to world well making Farm worlds feeding everyone else, feeding mining world, feeding Industrial worlds.
The Invasion idea or picking different tactical and where you authorised NCB weapons, and that fleet set up was geared towards having picket ships with eyes, a point defence escort and then the Capital ships with the anti-big ship guns

The fan made patching of MoO3 actually made the game into a decent game. The original MoO3 was a bit broken.

MoO and MoO2 was only good because their concept were fresh. I tried to play MoO2 a while back but it was not as good as I remembered it to be (and I'm not talking about the Graphics). Paradox grand strategy games are just so much more engaging and thought provoking than games such as Civ, MoO and so forth, these games just seem like kids games with very little depth in comparison.
