Hi everyone, first of all English is not my main language so please forgive me for possible errors.

So here is my idea. I tough that it would be nice to be able to build monuments and other grandiose buildings in your provinces.

The monuments could give you a prestige boost and maybe some other bonuses. For example, lets say i am playing as Venice and am dirty rich i could initiate the construction of a cathedral and it would help me with prestige and maybe with my papal relation or something like that.

This could be pushed even further as the player could finance artists.

I think it would be nice to have a notion of grandeur and of the cultural power of a country. Now i am just throwing this idea out there maybe some of you could add to this to make the idea better.

thanks for reading

I remember that being possible back in EUIII,it was one of the million province decisions available.

It would make sense if you could boost your prestige with cash, after all the great powers of the time wasted shiploads of gold on making themselfes look good.

Great Idea. It would be nice if you could create a 'Project' building which would cost a lot of money. This could then begin an event chain, which RNDs events that could be about the building of that 'Project' building. Also, Historical buildings would be pretty nice :D

Oh yeah, like the canals, I think this idea would also make the vertical nation building more fun. Just have to look at Venice to understand where the money went ;). Also There could be a new variable for a nations grandeur and maybe it could trigger some events or the AI at some point.

For example, if you take Venice it had no problem showing off being in a "safe" position. Ragusa on the other hand kept things very very simple in fear of the Ottomans.

Maybe the game could be inspired by this as for if a nation was weak ( military wise and alliance wise) and too show off it could be a CB for neighboring nations.
