Mongols not appearing

It is 1251 and no Mongols are on the map. I got an event in 1218 that the hordes were massing in the steppes, but nothing after that.

I read somewhere that by this point both the Ilkhanate and the Golden Horde should have appeared. I am very frustrated with this, since I have been anticipating their arrival and preparing for it for something like 50 years.

This is WAD as there is a small chance that the Mongols do not appear within the game map and the Golden Horde will not appear if the Ilkhanate hasn't.
