It is the year 1229 and the Mongols are just standing around. They took Khiva, but now at least 150.000 bloodthirsty barbarians are camping out at the edge of the map. For at least 5 years. Bug?

1240 and nothing happened, except Golden Horde arriving, invading one place and then.... well.... standing around.

Do you mean Golden Horde doomstacks just standing around? Do they have a capital/county? What did the Ilkhanate do in this game? I've seen this kind of thing before. In one game I forced the Ilkhanate to the area of the map where the Golden Horde usually goes to and the Golden Horde never owned a county but their armies remained forever. I think they're hard-coded to attack certain counties on the map edge but they won't attack Ilkhanate so that they can get stuck - just a guess.

No, both factions actually conquered kingdoms - Khiva and Perm. But now they are just sitting there gnawing at the bones of their victims. I actually switched to the ghaznavids and declared war on the Ilkhanate to see if that would unstuck the AI. The Mongols eventually won, but no movement since afaik.

Maybe this passivity is WAD, but it seems strange. I mean, they are surrounded by easy targets and have 150k stacks standing around - for 25 years....
