Given that I cant get a refund now, why doesnt steam have the patch that we WERE promised for today?

Dude, lighten up. It's still morning in their part of the world. When we get the patch today, it'll likely be at the end of their day after they've spent it fixing the CTD bugs. Until then, get out, get some sunshine, go grab some ice cream or something.

Most likely because steam havent recieved the patch yet. It is still monday and will be monday for quite a while longer (about 17 hrs more), no exact time was given. So, patience my friend. That is something i learned when i bought hearts of iron 3
You can get a refund. They have said this many times now. So either sort one out or shut the fuck up.
If you are from the US.. and you ask about the "Monday patch" before noon in the vast majority of the US & Canada.. well.. chances are *really* great you are not gonna get it. Its allowed to use common sense every now and then

They work all weekend "12+ hours" on a patch they tell us over and over thats gonna come out Monday an youre telling me "oh they didnt specify when on Monday" like I dont have the right to be pissed after Ive been lied to about getting a refund for this fiasco?

2. yes you can get a refund, it just takes time. i have no idea where in the word you are. but uk law specifies that you have 14 days from purchase for a full refund on an un satifactory product. however they do not have to give you the refund instantly but withing 28 days of purchase.
3. they never said when on monday you were getting the patch. just monday. bearing in mind that the game released at 6pm uk time i would guess that the patch will be about the same.
so put up or shut up. were all sick of you.

lol, crazy kids and your impatient ways. It's 10:30 here in PST-land, so hopefully they'll have it updated soon. In the meantime, I can recommend at least 5 decent 4x games worth playing while you wait for SotS2 to "mature," if you will. Star Ruler, Distant Worlds, SotS1, Galactic Civilizations II, Space Empires V.. I'm sure you haven't played at least one of those.
Seriously, why do you even keep coming to these boards? Go relax while Paradox figures out what the heck to do about refunds. Given that most of the copies of the game were sold through GG, Steam, and other places they have to set something up to get refunds to people. Its not like this is a common occurrence. Actually it is nearly unheard of with PC games. Frankly I'm sick of seeing you spout your hatred and vitriol in every single thread on this forum. Go get some sunlight, or play something else. Just stop coming here, its past getting old at this point.
