Actually, it's not an event,. it's a decision that is available to Germany, which then starts the negotiation event chain. As you can see, Germany being at war with Poland makes this decision unavailable.

And by the way I discovered some time ago, from the Soviet side there is a bug of sorts. If you play the Soviets you cannot refuse the M-R Pact. Even if you ignore it and don't press anything you auto accept. Can definitely put a kink in someones plan.

If you guarantee the independence of Poland you can still attack Germany normally - but that creates *another* bug of sorts - where you become (due to your army size) the leader of the allies. Now, that sounds reasonable, but the problem, if you want to have an operation unthinkable follow up to defeating the Axis, you actually *can't* declare war on any allied power (nor they you) until *every* Axis power has been extinguished.

It'd obviously be funny for a practice "map-painter" game whereby the player attempts to invade places on the other side of the Atlantic or Pacific - because you can take over literally every non-allied nation on the planet and the allies cannot declare war on you.

if the baltic states have become puppets they still get annexed.
russia can suggest an alliance, resulting in 100% guaranteed world domination, but sadly the AI never does this.
