why did you annex granada and then cede it back to Castile? I guess if it is part of your secret I am fine!
Colonial range, Cape Verde is too far from Bessarabia! If I kept it Castille probably would have DOWed me.comagoosie said:why did you annex granada and then cede it back to Castile? I guess if it is part of your secret I am fine!
They have a few colonies just south of Morocco. They tend to take several years though since the natives are so hostile though. I think they only have Infi at the time of the last update.Mendeth said:wow, busy few years, I'm impressed with the colonisation of Africa. Hasn't Portugal begun competing with you yet?
who cares about -6 stability anyway...
Like your surprised...Fijj said:WOW, you suck at expanding.
You got to take Bulgaria and Wallaca to win the game!!
Classic.
That is the only way I could have really done it, it is a luck based strategy. And your ability to weasel out of peace offers...Moldavia said:Pretty impressive, altough you were dependent on events going your way. It would've been enough for one thing to go wrong, and you would've been history. If Poland had declared war on you instead of Crimea, you would've been annexed. Or, if Grenada hadn't fallen in just 3 months, you may have lost your fleet. Still, you had a plan and it worked. Great for you!
One thing I don't understand about Grenada: couldn't you at least sell the province in January 1, for some gold?
Well, this AAR is actually my 2nd try.Moldavia said:I tried to follow your strategy, with a few alternations. I declared war on Grenada from day 1, while starting to build a cog. Poland and Crimea went to war against each other and I was safe. Grenada was now in war against Castille, Morocco, and Algiers. I figured that they would lose one province and I was hoping of beseiging the remaining capital. I built another cog after the first was completed, planning to recruit a good mercenary from Grenada. Grenada made peace with the rest and things went just as I had planned: they only had their capital left. I got there and moved my troops on their land. Their garrison was less than 500 and things were sweet. I felt so good that I was on my way to put on a Dr Dre tune, when I noticed their army returning to their land: 1k cavalry and 1k army. The operation was over.
If I ha recruited 2 mercenary troops, I would probably have made it, but I was a bit cheap and wanted to save as much money as possible. I'll try it again and see how it goes, but I think that this is the kind of game where you need for a certain scenario to go your way; which means a lot of new starts. Did things go your way from the first try?
Stephen inflicted on the Ottomans a decisive defeat that has been described as "the greatest ever secured by the Cross against Islam,"[2] with casualties, according to Venetian and Polish records, reaching beyond 40,000 on the Ottoman side. Mara Brankovic (Mara Hatun), who had formerly been the younger wife of Murad II, told a Venetian envoy that the invasion had been worst ever defeat for the Ottomans.[3]
