Mods that I extract to my documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings 2/mod folder do not show up in the launchers select mods area. All I see is a white square. Initially an old mod I had installed in the mod folder of the installation directory (not the program files directory) was working but it was nuked when I reinstalled CK2.

I’m a little surprised I haven’t been jumped with requests to do the list 4 or 5 things. No matter; the results are...
- First: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=5555
I already had this; installer won’t run because it detects newer file.

- After that: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...s.aspx?id=8328
Asks if I want to repair. Says it’s repaired it but no change in CK2

- Then: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=35
I already had this; installer starts but detects I have it and finishes immediately after initializing.

- (If that doesn't do anything then http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=8109 )
Again, gives the option to repair. Very slow repair process but done.

Prior to all that I did a clean install from Gamersgate and a manual update to 1.11. If your software requires some specific files from Microsoft just install them with the game! End result is no change. I still see white blank boxes and no indication that I’ve placed a mod in the folder.

Sorry, I can only get to these forums once or twice a day. You posted at midnight and 4am my time ...

The latest patch is 1.111, BTW.

I'm now aware of know issue in this area, people use mods all the time. I assume your DLCs show up in the launcher OK?

Can we perhaps see a screenshot of your Documents CK2 /mod/ folder, with the mod files listed? That was we'll also see what mods you are trying, and whether they are installed correctly - I assume you followed each mod's install instructions?

And finally, have you asked for help over in the User Mods forum? They obviously will have more experience in this area.
