Patch: 3.0

Since the Holy Fury patch, my mods haven't been working. As part of getting CK2 to work after the patch, I deleted, unsubscribed and uninstalled everything. I used the userdir text document in the SteamApps area fix to get CK2 to work, I was crashing at Loading Graphics, but since playing again and starting to reinstall mods from steam, I've found they aren't working in the game despite the launcher showing them as active. I've found them being placed in the mod folder of the SteamApps section, so recreated the mod folder in the My Documents area and cut and pasted everything across. Only to find that the launcher isn't detecting them there and when I played the game, Steam just reinstalled the subscribed to mods back in the SteamApps/CK2/mods folder. The game still doesn't use the mods despite saying they're active in the launcher. I've verified the game and it's done nothing. Can someone tell me how to fix what's going wrong.

If you used the userdir.txt technique, that is why. They would need to be wherever you redirected the user files.

If that was in the Steam steamapps CK2 folder, that may be the issue, as the /mod/ folder ther eis for uploading mods you created, not ones you downloaded.

Probably it would be best to fix the problem that made you try userdir.txt in the first place, 99% of the time that is an antivirus app getting in the way.

I couldn't figure out how to fix the problem. Antivirus said it was turned off when I tried to play the game but it wouldn't work. The userdir did fix that but caused problems with mods until I got some help from @Aardvark Bellay . Problems are all fixed now, could you mark this thread as resolved pls?
