There is mods about prosprection ?
I means, the ressource on earth are huge, there is a fucking lot of it non exploit in HOI4.
For exemple, the afghanistan mountain are rich in many minerals but this country never have potical stability and industrial effort to open large mine and so on. Same with north korea (there mountains are so rich !) or africa (so few of all ressource in the game). Also, there is also so many ressource in Siberia than even after 70 years of soviet industrial planning with focus on heavy industries, there is less than 30% of it's ressources than are actually exploit.
So, where are all this in the games ? Even in mod's ?

So much possibilities in prospection and so little who focus on them.

ww2 was about resources, if there were no shortage of it, there would be no need for conquest. I for one think resources should be even more scarse and some like chromium should be used for all types of tanks to make it much more valuable.

The game already gives many nations, particularly minors through focus trees, far more resources than they could possibly have dug up at the time (e.g. oil in Portuguese West Africa). The resources may be there in the ground, but getting the economic and political capital required to extract them is another matter entirely.

Many nations also start out with far more or far fewer resources than they possessed on 1.1.1936, or lack the means to extract what was historically extracted within the game's timeframe (e.g. Finnish nickel in Petsamo).
