I'm getting really annoyed with the way the "increase power" system for the 4 social classes in each province works. Basically, what I'd like to do, is to reduce the increase in power from 5% per click to a lower number like 1 or 2%, so I can balance the power more accurately.

It's probably a dumb question, but is there anything I can do about this? My first guess was to load the crusader.exe file into a hex editor and try to edit it (similar to the window-mode hack) but I don't even know what to look for.
