I am currently modifying the events mentioned on the title for my iberian submod. Basically I changed the 867 de jure setup to not include what for the time were fantasy kingdoms such as Castille, Portugal or Aragon and moved the Andalusia de jure frontier north.
This change required of course new Reconquista events to switch de jure ownership for the duchies that were non andalusian de jure on vanilla HIP but are now andalusian de jure on my mod. So I added them while also making the existing events more flexible.
However, despite my fabulous "copy-paste" skills, it happens that while vanilla HIP events work in the more flexible way I intended, the completely new events don't fire. And as I said, since the new events are basically copy-pasted from the originals I have no idea of what I am doing wrong.
I leave the file here in case somebody could help, which I would really appreciate. Devs will now how the file works, but I will leave a quick explanation for anyone else:
The vanilla HIP events for each duchy have id = emf_historical.xx
All events are called on_yearly_pulse by emf_historical.18
The completely new events that don't fire are the ones with id = ri_emf_historical.xx
