Hey guys, I looked all over for this but I can't find an actual proposal as simple as mine.
EU:IV starts during the rise of Europe, but it allows you to play as other non-Western nations, such as the Ming and the Ottomans. I get that you would have to keep up with technology, but what if you prevent Europe from rising, and instead dominate the world yourself? Doesn't make too much sense to "Westernize", which means adopting almost all things Western. Why abandon your culture, values, traditions, especially since you're winning, for another just to keep up with technology?
What I propose is simple: rename "Westernize" to "Modernize". I know that westernizing is historically accurate, but in a game where even Ryukyu can take over the world by 1800, I think that this doesn't matter too much. This change would have no effect on gameplay; it is merely "aesthetic" and for immersion.
