modernday mod problem

I have tried to ask this in the modern day thread, but got nearly no reply; so ask it again here.

I do have hoi2dd 1.3a unmodified; after running the Pre-installer i realized there is only a empty folder created without anything in it at all; then i keep on going to run the secondary installer called 'setup', after this process is done there is no .exe file for me to run in that folder. Therefore, game can't be started
I tried as a gentleman suggested just copy and past the original hoi2.exe into the modern day folder, but it doesn't work.

Ok, I just installed this myself yesterday and did it like someone had instructed much earlier. Now firstly, delete everything in your Doomsday folder's subfolders "db", "scenarios" and "config". But not the folders themselves! So you'll have empty folders there. Then, move all the files in the Modern Day folder into the DD folder, replacing all files. Now the DD's folders you just emptied should be full of files. Then, run the NTL-patch program. Then, create an empty subfolder named "save games" inside the scenarios folder. And you should be ready to go!

Regarding the version of DD, I would suggest you checked it again from the top right corner of the main menu in the game. I wouldn't count on that text file.

this is just some additional info

I also tried to install the modern day mod on my laptop by just running both installers, and it worked fine.

However I did notice that after i run pre-installer on my laptop several file were actually copied into the new modern day folder, instead of just creating a empty folder.
