No prisoner of war without a war:
In year 2090 Norway was the last remaining monarchy in europe. All others had been removed during the USE declaration (more about this one later). Because of the right winds in Norway and the death of the democracy in 2067 the king had completly controll of it. This year a young new monark Haakon X (I hope some norweigan could help us in this matter) rise the throne after his father. Norway was the last country in europe who wasnt a part of USE (Russia and most of the ex Soviet in have been a part since the second communist revulotion in 2070 and the east europe league the same year, GB and Iceland after the american war). Anyways, in the north a republic revolt breaks out. Becuse of the terrain in northern Norway (and in most of the rest too) it hard to stop it espacially when the government wants to keep it silenced. But then the king dies in accident. The monarchist blames it all on the republic revolters and takes it as a excuse for totally crush the revolt. In the beginning it went really well for Norway and in 2091 the revolt was almost crushed. But now USE got in action it was earlier stopped by an govermental scandal wich lead to a completly new goverment. The army landed in Narvik and swedish and finnish army crossed the bother and lay sieged on Oslo. USA strengen by a victory against a communist revolt in the carribean saw this as an opportuniti to get Norway on their side. Norway had before played an excellent neutral game between the to major nations. And off course a chance to take revange on USE. So only a month after the USE invasion a 30 000 man strong army landed. With boat off course. The air on earth was so strongly controlled that every firefly on the planet had a name. still the battles on the sea was in full strenght and it was only because of a very new invention they gone through the atlantic. With an 40 000 swedish/finnish army sieging Oslo and the Narvik army got stucked in a earthslip caused by one the few earthquakes that ever strucked Norway it looked quite bright for the monarchist with their 60 000 army and with the new additions from USA it was up in 90 000. A month later the two armies(80 000 mon and 45 000 fin/swe) finally after dossens of small battles meat outside Oslo. After a terrible tactics misses by the american leader Ronald Grant and with some tactical genius movement by the two leaders of the swe/fin army the battle ended in a outstanding european victory and the answer from the swedish leader were he learned all his tactics:

After that the war turned into the european favor and when Bergen finally falled in 2094 the republic of Norway was declared.
There were thoughts of a really great american invation of Norway, GB and Iceland but its all crushed because of the fall of the North & Central American Union.
But the new republic didnt want to be a part of the USE and when the last troops left they instead sined a trade agreement with USA. USE was just to punish Norway and forse them to join USE as they did with the EE league and Russia. But then the Hungary revolt (the first of the three) got to big and Norway was still free and neutral.
