Gibraltar should be part of the UK not a free city.

i dont want to go into politics but N.Irelnd should also be bigger UK owning the two prvos next to belfast this would make it more realistic/ i mean if you looked at a map the uk has the higest % of owned land int hose 3 provs so like uk owns 70-80% and ireland owns like 20-30% so it should go to UK (just my opinion)

With Ireland, I can see where you are coming from, but I thing the Brits have enough of an empire as it is, I don't think they need two more provs....
With Gibralter, that's what I was thinking too, but you know if you want to get into British Commonwealth structure.....

Okay.... lighten up.....Christ! (Breathe in, breathe out) Frankly, I don't give a crap about Paris, nextly.... It is one stinking prov in Ireland. Let the Irish keep it, just to kind of give them something. The map will have to be fudged, true; but it is no reason to go off demanding damnation, and if you make it Baltimore.... I'll see what I can do (Clevelander thing). Plus leaving the one prov could place an area to make friction between the UK and Ireland. Could make for some interesting events. But for the sake of remaining un-biased; I'll make Londonderry British, leave the other prov to Ireland.... and if you so demand it; give Britain claims on it. Don't worry, the Sun won't set on Britain just yet....

i thought this was ment to be a historical mod? well then if it is... it is unrealistic for N.Ireland to only be made up of 2provs. (if UK owned all 3 it would actually llok like N.reland not just a mess) +what is the name of the provs that we are debating about?

First of... Wilhelm VI your map is a current European map, not one of 1950.

As to the North Ireland part my vote would be three provinces to the British seems to fit my European map best. Looking at my map the most doubtful province would be Londonderry, since most of that province belongs to Ireland. However the city of Londonderry is in England, so I say let the British have all three. Also Gilbraltar should go the the UK...

Denmark and Flensburg... Flensburg should be in BRD. However there should be an event in which Flensburg might secede to Denmark. In the 50' the people in Holstein voted on the issue, and there was a large Danish minority (20% or so) which had vast influence because they hadn't belonged to the Nazi Party during the war and was therefor favorized by the English and American. Historically they didn't join Denmark (at which point Denmark should lose their core on Flensburg), but it wasn't unthinkable at the time. If they join Denmark BDR should lose their core on Flensburg to... DDR shouldn't though.

Was Cyprus divided already in 1950?

I would like a Navarra revolter. Shouldn't they have a core on the most southern French province (Pan?) though? Speaking of revolters a Kurdistan revolter is a must. Also I support keeping the SIC-tag for Sicily for use if Italy become communist before say 1955 or so... any further and the Cold War politics wouldn't have allowed it I think.

Chamberi, Annecy and Nice should belong to France not Italy. I don't think Italy should have cores...

Might I suggest using NGF-tag for DDR and SGF-tag for BDR?

Was west Germany in 1950 really ahead of the UK in thier Economy?

Other than that, If the UK has higher prestige than the US I don't think it should be by much.

All suggestion are okay, but seeing as I am not scripting the map.... that is someone else's problem. But true, I am working of my prior knowledge and a "Children's First Atlas," you can't expect the best. I just marked Cyprus of future reference, not that it was divide (or even independent) in 1950. That all needs to be researched.

The BDR should be ahead of the UK, the Allied rebuilding brought a huge increase of industrialization to West German, though East Germany should be left to agriculture.

Nextly, will USSR satelite nations be satelites of the USSR? This especially applies with East Germany, Hungary and Romania.

Next I my idea list, Could we make Opium Maijuana, and chaange something to Uranium or Plutonium? It seems to be more up to date.... if not oh well, but the Opium thing I would think to be more modern.

As for Northern Ireland, as I said above, I really don't care seeing as I am just drawing it, not mapping it. Looking at a map, I would give Londonderry to Ireland and that other one to the UK, but I consede to any arguments. Seeing as I am both Irish and British, it will forever be a win-lose situation for me.....

Oh, and one last thing..... Can we get our own thread area, so we can discuss this in different; organized areas instead of everything on one thread?

Cool, most will be revolters only though. The Virgin Islands is part of the US Commonwealth. As is Puerto Rico. Greenland; should it be part of Denmark, or a dominion? Yugoslavia is on there twice, U09 and MAN.

I notice Mezzo you kept Bremen and a few other nation that will never surface again.... And to simplify things, make "West Pakistan" "Bangledesh" It seperated from Pakistan early in its history.

My opinion is that some of these Tags are not necessary to keep as this is a Modern Day Scenario. Most of the tags I recommend can be removed are of parts of countries that have formed so long ago that it would be virtually impossible to break them up. These tags I think may be taken out or used by someone else quite easily:

CRI: Crimea
RUT: Ruthenia
BAD: Baden
BRE: Bremen
BER: West Pakistan (There is already another tag for Bangladesh = SIK)
HAW: Hawaii
CSA: Florida Republic
TEX: Texas
COL: British Columbia
NEN: New England
U06: Nova Scotia
U09: Yugoslavia (Another tag exists = MAN)

As to a Greenland tag... I don't think this is needed... While there is some movements for total indepence in Greenland, this isn't realistic for quite a lot of year into the future... much less so within the timeframe. Greenland simply needs the money that the Danish state gives to them each year. They do have a limited independence, but not enough to warrent a sattelite state IMHO... the tag can be use to a better effect elsewhere.
