WHAT lag are you talking about Nova? I've never really had noticed any lag with your Putin, except for maybe at startup when i still used win7.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been testing the mod in an effort to find out a possible cause for the lag. I know you said you don't suffer with lag, but I certainly notice it especially when the USA goes to war against isis.

Would you believe there are 594 persistent events, or 594 places in events where persistent = is in the code.
persistent = yes means the event can fire more than one time. It is usually used in Decisions where you can fire the event, and when the criteria are met again, you can fire the event again and again.
But persistent events are running all the time, causing lag. Well they can cause. And in this case they DO cause lag, lots of lag.
BECAUSE I turned off all the persisent =, and got no lag whatsoever.
SO apologies to mumia, it is not the E3 map. It is the events for the major part.
Do you think it's all the events with Persistent in them or just a few?
Yes, I don't get much lag with anything except the Star wars FOC mod that i work on. My rig is pretty good. top of the line AMD cpu, 970 vid card water cooling and a large SSD.

Yep, as usual I spoke too soon. 432 of those persistent = yes are from the old mds (killerrabbit) events, which are actually switched off, so not interfering with the mod at all, now removed totally. 18 were from an event file which had the old buy-missiles events, so they are now removed as well.
I'm now trimming back on the countries that persistent events scan every day to see with that help.
I'm stopping with this mod.
I just am spending more time trying to fix problems, than enjoying doing events or being creative in other ways.
This mod has become a drag and I'm just fed up and worn down with it altogether.
SO anyone want to take this on, please PM me and I can make arrangements to give you all the stuff I have here that is still undone.

Nova, you told me to never give up, so why are you. It may take time, and may even make you want to tear your hair out, but don't give up. I've not, and I'm so busy it isn't even funney.

At the beginning mode was simple: a war game with actual and fictional events.Now it took a complicated direction by adding too many political events .It became unmanageable and too heavy.It must return to MDS, a war game between countries or military alliances .I think the EA map is too heavy for DH AI with hundred units on the map.the Putin V1 was more simple but just add events for more war like russian vs eu or china vs usa and japan etc... I ' m not a modder but it's what I think.

Dont you have put to much hard work into this for it to die, just take a break work on it when you want to because at the end of the day this could be the best mod ever.

I start a new game with the latest version: before playing, I have disabled the missile tech(personal preference), no unit missiles on the map,and the events 796034-796035-796036-796037-796038(went with decline in.. can choose to intervene) db\event\putin\isis isn't active, the mod run well, no lag at the end of the day.these events are not useful. I play in the year 2018 with hundred and hundred of units on the map ......

Well it is the first ever space game I have been able to play. Must be about 10 hours so far.

I find Stellaris is very hard to play. I keep finding ways out of situations, only to find that my energy or influence drops, so I then have no choice but to rush into a war, which is too early for me, and I lose badly.
For me the game is very hard.
I think I'll go back to modding dh for a REST... lol
