Modern Day Scenario, towards Armageddon

Yeah I know it was one-sided but I loved it, the music was just perfect as well. I'm not going to have time and I don't have any video editing software and no experience anyway, so it has to be someone who knows what is what. I thought the video really set the scene, and if edited to a much shorter length, without the fake phone call, and the anti-US sentiment, was just perfect!

I could tryto edit this video(to cut out most of the entry, and the final scenes and there is some repetition. Replace them with scenes from Syria and Iraq, Montenegro, Macedonia (popular protests), and so on)... But at the moment video does not want to workin the game. Here's the real problem. By the way, I added the audio from this video in the folder you suggestedabove (Music-Julian-Russia-Rock)

By the way, call that person not a fake. This "Givi", the field commander. He called in Ukrainian TV Studio, when they said he was dead. It was real. + sometimes called militias with the Ukrainian military, that would solve the issue of prisoners

I've looked at the video again, just now. At the moment the video is 6.36 minutes long, it really needs to be about 3 minutes. It would be GREAT if you could start with the president speaking to parliament (as now) but cut the speech, cut out most of the civilians, keep the war action and end with that field commander's speech as he finished the call and says he is going to get the guy today.

I don't mind the video being one-sided, but you could try to balance with shots of SYR or wherever, but action shots if you can.

We really just want to set the scene, and get guys pumped up for playing the mod. Thank You!

I am going to see if I can convert the movie to 256 colours, maybe this is the problem, at the moment it is Truecolour 32, which is probably too high?

Check the original Paradox videos in dh/avi folder, check the File Info, you will see they use bik1, 640 x 480 size etc etc. Maybe if you match these parameters it may work?

@CJ, Thanks for the suggestion, but it is obvious that the video is for a different game altogether. I'd rather have real action anyway.

You should just go to dh/avi, remove one of the videos already there, and put your video there instead. Then start the game and it should play the video. ??

You did a great job JulianSol, so we can wait and see if someone provides a solution and get the video into the mod and playing as normal.

If we never find a solution, we can just add the video separately to the mod download (when ready) and guys can just watch the video separately before playing the mod.

In the dh /avi folder;
remove the paradox video
add ANY video that you have produced to this folder
rename it "paradox"
it will play, but no sound.

My display is 1920 x 1200
The 500MB video plays no problem, no sound, but is zoomed in on the president's face area.
EDIT: The lower quality video from today, plays, no sound and is not zoomed in, so looks ok.

We are nearly there....
