OK, well MDS2 is a total mess as regards trying to mod it.
The units, although a piece of genius work for HOI2 days, are a total mess for DH days.
Lots will have dummy x 10, and then the unit parameters.
This is reflected in the models, techs, images etc etc.
Also for guys wanting to do events, and add units in those events, if they added an engineer, they would actually be adding something very different. Currently, may not = what you would expect. I think an engineer is a helicopter, infantry is a mech, ...
I have the new Techs done, showing on the pages, but not yet linked to units or pathways defined. These have all been researched in depth.
I am working on Units, which is and will involve:
scrapping what is in MDS2 and starting again. Same for skiffs, images, files, etc etc.
I will of course use the images I still can.
I find it very frustrating that I'm constantly bringing MDS2 into a new DH version, or just trying to fix things as I go along. I never get the time to do events.
I finally decided to scrap MDS2 and start all over.
I'm keeping the events, but those that break the mod or cause lag, will have to be reviewed.
I'm hoping for a much cleaner, more stable, better, more-easily-moddable mod for guys to mod in the future.
And I'm bringing the mod much more into DH than it ever was before.
And I'm intending to do events going forward and make the mod better.
