Afer playing last update from 2003 to 2013 here is my comment...

-More than 300 rebels in Yemen is silly

-Russia never defends its borders sends its troops to defend other nations while enemies invades Moscow

-Battle AI is very weak does not attack and breaktrough enemy lines instead it waits and sends troops elsewhere

-While at war with Iran Usa does nothing so Iran can easly invade Iraq and Saudi Arabia

-Usa never uses its mighty Naval Power

-China never tries naval invasions

-Players cannot create air army groups which has more than 4 plane divions in it but AI can (8 units) so most of the time air units lose battle

-I dont know why but if some nation ally wih Saudi Arabia those nations sent Troops into Arabian provinces even in the war time Saudi Arabian lands are full of ally soldilers and troops stay there even their mainland is invaded

Please please fix the battle AI this mod is awesome but without proper fighting mechanics its not fun to play...

So now you know why the next version is taking a while to get done. ALL of the above have already been, or will be fixed soon.
The AI is shit, since there is just a very basic general ai for everyone. In the next version, all the majors at least and some others will have their own AI.
Invasions, no problem. Attacking, again no problem to improve.

Air groups, I wasn't aware of this, will investigate.

Thats the answer I want to see but let me say THIS MOD IS GREAT I liked it a lot just needs these improvements still THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN !

After posting on this forum I kept on playing and saw new problems here they are.

-There are some problems with air sprites

-Although I resarched them all with Turkey I cant be able to create HQ,Mot-Mec divisions only brigades no problem with tanks

-Attack helicopters are way to strong and verycheap so make them less powerful or 20-30 ic per unit

-The air units organization level is a huge problem even if you put them into a 10 air base if there is more than 8 planes in it their organization gain is very low

-European nations are not building many army units and thats correct because in the real world their armies are not huge but France keeps bulding they dont have as many troops as China and Usa has but still its large they kept on building it must be corrected.

-Even players choose correct desicions some events wont fire

-I saw a Usa civil war after Iranian victory on middle east but it took only a month for Us armies to take control of the country was it designed that way?

-Russia definetly needs more IC maybe not many as Usa and China but definalty needs 20-40 more

-Generic events needed especially for Democratic Nations.

-It would be really great to see economical crisises in game they can cause all out war.

-Ships cost too much Ic I know that its hard to build them but one ship costs as same IC as air brigade so lower their IC little but also make their building time much longer nations shouldnt be able to build a warship in a year.

-Usa AI must act like realworld Usa especially in politics I expect them to get into affairs in every world problem just like real world

These are the things I remember by the way without touching the Ic or giving bonuses I made some improvements on Turkish ministers,events and tech teams I planned to relase them as a mini mod when its finish you are free to add it into game cause there are lots of mistakes about my country I just wanted to fix them...

i never had the problems with airgroups, im sure you edited something since i can make groups of 8.
but yeah the org is way too high or org regain waaaay to low.

As I remember there is a problem like that but maybe you are right I will check that out and let you know...

About the improved files I know how to edit events ministers and tech teams so rather than relasing as a mod oke I will directly send it him but there is also huge need for army visuals (tanks,apc,helicopter etc) in 2014-2015 Turkish land forces are changing armored vehicles and almost all of the land army will be made up with Turkish made armored units.

Because that I dont know how to change the names etc(I guess I also need to change the info texts unit names and connect them together) I will post upcoming army vehicles pictures and names in this post(some of them are in use now) they can all be added as 21 century army force in Turkey...

As I said I am prepearing minister and tech files the rest is up to you guys I will post Turkish made new army vehicles below with details and pictures as attachments I choose high resolutions pictures.

TFX Turkish Fighter Jet (still in design procces will be produced in 2018-2020 cooperation with SAAB it can look diffrent) can be used as 21 army or later fighter jet (Air force will use both F-35 and TFX)

Altay Tank pride of the Land Forces more than 1000 units will be produced 4 units build for testing will be in production in late 2013 all will be delivered until 2015-2017 its name is in the mod as 21 Century Tank(without picture) in future tech it is replaced by Leopard 2A6 that must be fixed Turkey will no longer buy any Tanks from Germany.

Tulpar Armored Vehicle they will be put in Altay Tank divisions in order to give protection aganist infantry and air attacks 600 units ordered it can be used as light tank or light armored attachment to tank units.

FNSS ACV Tracked armored personal carrier more than 1500 units are produced so far also exported to another countires all of them in service can be used in 21 Century Mechanized units.

Arma 8x8 Armored Personel Carrier its in production more than 100 units are delivered to army can be used in 21 Century and Late motorized divisions.In army visit day I personally get in to this monster it was an awesome machine :D

Otokar Cobra-2 Turkish version of Humwee first version is already in use also exported another countries second version is on the production more than 1500 units will be produced.

There are also many other army vehicles as well if its needed I will post them too(for those who wish to see videos of these monsters just ask I post here).If mod developers need any information or pictures about those vehicles I can help you with that.When my work about the tech teams and ministers are finished I will send the files to you.

Apart from these vehicles army will buy new German Submarines,Chinook Helicopters and Amfibious Landing ships(helicopter carrier),F35 fighter jets.

I hope that they will be used in game in Turkey we respect our army so much it would be a great thing to see them in game plus with this way it would be much more realistic.

So I'm getting really peeved at this point, I've gone through at least four mods and none of them work, including this one. Whenever I try to start it up this error comes up no matter what I do.

There is a 1.3 RS3 and normal 1.3 patch maybe this was the reason for your problem after download I just put it into mods folder and worked without an error...

@fizy45: Great Stuff!

When you have your ministers etc done, can you also send me the images of the units. Size about 300 pixels at least? Best to just zip the lot and email it to the address in my signature. I'll try to put your pics in where I can if I need them.

Oke than when I finish I will send all files to you but please use these units in game with pictures and correct names with this way it would be much more realistic.

Also I have similar type of knowlage about Greek,Pakistan,Iran as well if its needed after Turkey I will send them too...

One question can you tell me the exact size/pixel needed for the pictures for ex 300x300 450x250 etc ?

OK, if you have tried 4 mods that work for everyone else, they it figures that you must be doing something wrong?

You extract the mod into a folder called Mods in the main DH directory. So inside that Mods folder you would have another folder called MDS2, and inside that folder would be all the extracted files from the mod.

You then apply the patch fix to that single file.

The mod only works on DH 1.03 RC3.

EDIT: The way it works is that every mod will have its own mod folder inside the Dh/Mods folder, and you just extract each mods files into their separate mod folder. In this way all the mods work separately from eachother.

If you look in the gfx/interface/models folder, find the ill_div_.... pics and size them the same as you see there 300 x 162.

No, I'm vaguely competent at following instructions and I do know where to put mods. It's still not working though, I tried re-installing it, redownloading and basically just making sure everything is there, but it always returns the same error.

I've seen this error before, a while back.

The guy was still using DH RC2 if I remember correctly?

This mod only works on DH 1.03 RC3.

EDIT: OK I went back a few pages (page 113, post 2260)(edit), but it was firewaterfriday.. and this issue causing the same as yours was that he was using a Steam version, and had thought that Steam would be using the most up to date version, but they were not... possibly since Paradox has not passed DH RC3 yet, and so RC2 is still officially the most recent version.

UPDATE:

The issue of "China not doing any naval invasions"...

I was working on this last night.
Using my previous invasion experience, it is very easy to get a country to perform a naval invasion of another. You just need to supply enough marines and transports.

The problem with getting any major country such as USA, CHC, RUS to do naval invasions is that as soon as a superpower gets involved in any war, there are lots of events firing off and World War 3 starts, which is not what is desired, at that early point in the timeline of the mod.

So, it is much better and definitely more controllable for the superpowers to use puppets, the puppets start the wars, then the superpower realising that this is going to cause big shit, shuts down the war by advising the puppet to do so.

ALSO, I've created demobilize events which automatically fire after EVERY war, so if superpowers are getting involved in wars themselves, they'll be constantly having their armies cut back, don't want that either, but also, don't want superpowers with 300 AI controlled divisions either...

The player will not have this problem, as he has a choice to demobilize or not.

This was done as the USA is at war at the beginning of the mod, and then still uses the same souped-up settings for the remainder of the mod. Unfair! So if the USA or ENG are AI controlled, this should not happen any more.

So, getting back to the issue in the header. China will use puppets to cause "consternation" in Asia. I'll have a few "local issues" causing wars in Asia, just to get the player tuned into modern times but not have the superpowers get involved too much at this stage.

I have 3 factions: CHC Shanghai Pact... RUS CSTO pact.. and NATO.

Of course the USA does its own thing tagging along ENG since ENG likes to think of itself as a great power still?

I have CHC and RUS separating into their own factions. Basically because CHC needs resources and finds itself as the Japan of the 1930s.. needing resources.. so any local supplies owned by lesser countries had better watch out. I think this is realistic. I don't see RUS in too much of a hurry to cause or get involved in wars as they are still rebuilding after the soviet era.

May be better for the AI to have South Korea and Japan as USA puppets ... :eek:

CHC will also need puppets in the area. DPRK is one, possibly some surprises in the others...
