I don't know if anybody said it or got it fixed and if, I didn't want to search on more than 80 pages...and I won't. But here's my problem:

North Korea has no techteam but it should, because I found the data in the folder "teams", "team_U09". North Korea should has a teachteam, shouldn't it?

nk just has no tech teams in this version. and as for going off topic, this thread has been off topic loads of times, as well as constantly repeating the same questions and answers again and again.

North Korea also needs to have a really big infantry army and a decent amount of tank divisions, but it needs to be really outdated and have low organization, also pretty much no navy.

Correct about the army, and that's what they have ingame. North Korea has also a large airforce (outdated, but should be effective on own terrain due to the large presence of ground AA-systems. This is simulated via the default combat modifier that gives an advantage to airunits when fighting over own terrain.) With regards to the no navy, North Korea has one of the largest submarine fleets in the world. (Only beaten by USA, Russia and China I belive, without checking numbers.) It mainly consists of older models though.

North Korea is a tough nut to crack, they have been preparing for war for 50 years. (mainly defencive, with building enormous complexes underground) North Korea was way better of for 20 years ago, when they had trading partners in the Soviet Union an China. Since then, they have been decaying in all aspects, perhaps except for it's army which has been prioritized with a 20 % slice of the cake of it's GDP.

North Korean tech-teams will be in the game for the next version. If you look some 6-7 pages back you can find a package with a new Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea skin and tech-teams.

I think North Korea should become the Tech Teams from South Korea when they annexd them. And I think that the German province "Hamburg" should be an Urban Province.

I agree on the Hamburg issue.

Regarding North Korea inheriting the South Korean tech teams,I'm afraid that's not how it works.

Tech teams are more than just buildings and the material inside them. It's about accumulated knowhow, education and personnell.

Assuming North Korea does manage to win a war against South Korea (HUGE "if") and that they capture a research facility intact and unevactuated (another HUGE "if"), other than salvaging a couple of in-game blueprints its unlikely that they would benefit more.

Short version : not happening.

I just started playing MDS and it looks great. Germany in particular is a fantastic country, probably better than IRL (no offense to the Deutsch), but I was wondering about a possible compound-IC building problem that one might run into. With that huge IC bonus, it becomes even easier and more rewarding to build IC. Of course in SP this is up to the player, but in MP the EU and other countries with no immediately likely wars, you can outstrip the US and China really easily by IC building and the 20 or so tech teams that the EU gets (as opposed to 10 or so for the Coalition). An EU where every tech field can be researched to next-year's tech and everyone can support around 400 IC is a tad unrealistic considering that the population, wealth and resources of the US are roughly equivalent to most of Europe (not surprising, given that they are roughly equal in size and climatic range). This isn't so much a problem with MDS as the 5 team max, but it does present some dispairities in research potential.

you're right about the navy, in fact even the US has less subs than North Korea, but that's about all they have in regards to a navy besides 2 frigates.

I know Wiki is not an authoritative source but this article might be of use when deciding the number of units a country will have:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_size_of_armed_forces

if we go by that Russia should have an enormous amount of tanks

you're only looking at the numbers, however they only have three operation tank divisions, the 4, 10th and 5th Guards; however at the start of the game they would also have had the 2nd and 21st tank divisions; still that is not 24,000 tanks

21,000 tanks in 2003 actually.

In any case, tanks are also present in Mechanized formations,so they have to be counted as well.

Also, most of the tanks are either in storage or reserve. Meaning the formations will only be available upon mobilization.

I installed everything fine, but when I double click on the .exe it says "please install the latest milestone", and soon after a box to report a error appears, and the game doesn't even begin to start.
I used doomsday v1.3a
