OK, it's about time I got back to keeping people updated as to the status of the AoD conversion for this mod. I'd like to claim that I have a good excuse for not posting once in the last several months, but truth be told I really don't. My main reason for not doing so, if I'm being honest, is that I'm concerned people won't think that I've made sufficient progress during that time.

That isn't to say that I haven't been working on the mod, as I have; it's just that the work I've been doing has assumed the aspect of house-keeping more than anything else. I've integrated the last of the bits on pieces that Killerrabbit gave me that he never had time to implement himself, ironed out the vast majority of the bugs that the initial conversion introduced and generally gotten the mod to a state where it's playable, if decidedly unpolished, unbalanced in numerous ways and not a staggering amount of fun. It's a long way off my vision of what MDS should be, and my inherent perfectionism has made me reluctant to share my work with you all.

This ends now, as part of one of my new year's resolutions. I've started a new thread for the mod in the AoD modding sub-forum where I've detailed a number of things that I require the help of the community with. Now that AOD is out, this is quite irrelevant, but how would I be able to use the editor with ARMA for the 1.6 beta?
I keep trying but it is saying that "Expected country to be a closer in line 35."

Anytime I've formerly tried this mod, all the events seem to fire immediatly at the beggining. Aswell, the time mod which should let the game continue past 1999, seems to make my game fail to start. Any ideas?

I'm playing as India and I'm about 6 months into the game with 20ic dedicated toward upgrades, but I noticed that all of my obsolete air wings and divisions are still at 0% for upgrades. Is there any way to fix this, or is it supposed to be like this?

Hi!
I have just downloaded the 1.6 beta 3 for Armageddon, and it's ******* fantastic man! All the ministers, the models, the techs, nowadays world is living, moving, III. WW going to. Marvellous!
Although, I have two questions. One is a bit cheating, but I want to know it. What event can increase my industrial effenciency? I'm a bit depressed to see the I start with 3 IC instead of 8 as Hungary. Not counting the macro and micro economic numbers - which I can not understand:D - what random events are there and what is there ID? Especially I had one with the name "More investments in to army" and the idea was supposed by the Chief of Staff. Sorry for the incorrect words, but I can't explain it better:S
And what attachment can I use for my Brigades? The menu tells me that the armored, mechanized, motorized brigades can have 1 attachment but even the USA doesn't have the technology for it - at least at 2003.

Hi Turul,

Moving towards hawk policy and planned economy will increase your available IC, but reduce future economic growth. Open console and enter "freedom" and you will be allowed to make unlimited policy changes. There are some bad effects of doing this also, beware.

Brigades cannot be given attachments. (Save for marines, due to limitations in the original game) Only divisions can.

If you want more sweeping cheats, (like I do) then open the difficulty.csv file in the main game directory (or in /db) Then you can edit the effects on playing on various difficulty's. You can give + to your research, resources, IC capacity and combat effects, or you can do the same to the AI or a specific faction for a more interesting game. It's better than remembering event ID's, as they are in the 6-7 digits range

I have solved the problem for myself, using event 6512090-84 all event increase my "tech-effect", giving me the normal amount of IC I need. Also, if brigades can't have attachments, why is it an option for them? Why isn't it disabled like transporters? If you don't tell it to me, I would research like mad, to get the good technologies...
But also, for Mec, Mot, and Arm why only attack helicopters is available? No AA, Art or anything.

i noticed its 10 MP for a factory...just wanted to point out how insanely wrong this is.

and im still asking (for the 10th time) whos fun to play as considering everyone is: too weak, too primative, or an industrial giant with stockpiles of high technology

Hello i have a quick question, when it reaches year 1009, the game automatically boggs down and is laggy big time, no wars are happening and cant figure it out. How do i fix this?

I guess it's of all infantry and armies.
It takes time to calculate everything for the AI.

Word, when I've played as the USA, China usually has about 200 army divs, and 200 ships, in addition to India's 150 divs, Russia's 250 ships, in addition to over 125 nations being in the mod...
